I got to 33% completion, 9 DA members found, >2,000 discovery points...

Then I had to do a reformat... And lost the disc image, along with the gamesave. :cry:

Surely it doesn't feel right on a PC.

That's the only way to play Counter Stri-I mean Left 4 Dead.

Wait a fuckin' second here, you ripped Fallout 3 apart for being like Oblivion, well look at Left 4 Dead. The animations are identical, explosions look the same. In fact the only differences are the enemies, location and co-op mechanics.

Character animations aren't identical lolwat
Explosions can't look entirely different with the same people who made them
Here's a thing you forgot which was valid: the weapons, although nerfed they're purposely to act like CS weapons.
Location?, ah ah ah aren't some CS levels in America?
Here's a fun fact, they recycled the health pick-up sound from Half Life in Team Fortress 2. That's a blatant rip-off why aren't you mentioning that?


  • Pushing facial animation to the limits
  • First ever game based on entirely co-operation, even in Singleplayer
  • New Source engine build which involves some strict animation added to physics, so no more retardation poses hopefully
  • Innovative automatic aesthetic system, the cinema effects make it worth it alone
  • Movie styled gameplay, you pick 4 movies each with 5 levels ranging from 1 hour to 2 hours each, a unique story to every adventure discussed in the safe houses
  • Zombie gameplay being fucking immense, breaking down walls, being a licker, being predator, vomiting on people and throwing cars.


I think you're just pissy because you can't accept that this started off as a parody of their community making zombie mods they couldn't finish, and it turned into a project lolol.

Here's the difference by the way:
Bethseda buy an unpopular IP and casual-it-up by making it appeal to Elder Scroll IV fans by hardly changing the mechanics of Elder Scrolls IV.
Valve once again make a almost entirely new IP on the source engine which is significantly different to it's predecessors despite being all in the FPS genre.

And that's why it has 40% more preorders than Orange Box had.

Level starts, everyone just shooting down doors blowing zombies heads off right, then I totally did a 360 in the air with my katana

What happens is, you and your 3 chosen fellow internet users form a bond of brotassium. Voice chat is a god damn necessity. Slowly you'll make your way down the stairs, maybe split into two groups. You hear the witch crying in the opposite room, and you whisper turn the goddamn flashlights off, but alas, a boomer turns the corner and vomits in all of your faces. You retreat to the nearest room with only one door, paralysed with fear. You can hear the horde coming. The door is broken down and your first two friends are already on their backs having their eyes torn out and all you can do is shit yourself as the smoker out of fucking nowhere hangs you over the edge of an apartment block.

Your last friend barely makes it out alive, stumbling toward the subway. A pack of 4 zombies catch him off guard, he's shooting everywhere.

The car alarm has been activated.

Zombies from the rooftops, the subway, the drains. Every which way hell is unleashed and before you know it, he's dead.

That is one of the many many experiences I've had in Left4Dead.

Well the demo was entertaining, but hopefully there will be other weapons available within the maps.

Apart from that this feels somewhat like a 3D version of the Last Stand but having an actual objective to move to rather than to wait for.

Only gripe is that there needs to be at least one (apart from knockback) decent melee weapon, because shooting there entire time gets repetitive.

My only gripe would be friendly fire always on. Turn it off. Not for the PC of course but for the Live'ly demographic.

Expert mode plus AI team mates do not mix, or at least proves to be a very difficult in just the first campaign.

I'm not trying any other difficulty, and haven't yet gone co-op until I finish the single player.

Left4Dead with AI is a sin, they're there for the casuals you're not supposed to actually use them.

Also did Valve deliver on their fucking promise and allow split screen on PC
