Regardless I wouldn't buy it. I could barely handle fucking Doom 3, and my cousin insisted I play BioShock in the fucking dark. Though BioShock for me, didn't have that whole darkness factor that Doom 3 had. And it wasn't often when guys would spring up on me, except the Big Daddies which were not only a bitch to kill but scared the fuck outta me if they got close...
I agree, the story barely stood on its hinges. Throughout the experience there was the "oh, and by the way..." factor.

Steal an unwanted baby, hyponotise it to follow your every command, make it leave Rapture then come back again and kill Andrew Ryan. Why not rush his chamber with your army of splicers?! As far as the game's concerned you ARE a splicer.

This is worse than the ending to the LOTR the Return of The King: flying out...why not fly in!

You are the single biggest fool I have ever met.

God forbid what you people would say if he said he didn't like System Shock.... (Which is a game I never played btw)

System Shock was fresh and ahead of its time for depth.

Bioshock is System Shock frozen in carbonite and sent back to circa 1920's by the De Lorean and ordered to read Atlas Shrugged whilst smoking a pipe.

Okay, so it wasn't crap. It's much more enjoyable than the rest of modern day shooters but it is probably the weakest of the "multiple path" shooters for what it was set to accomplish.

It was not multi-path. It was linear like SS2. I swear to God you guys are losing braincells.

It was advertised and portrayed as a multiple choice, not multi path or non-linear; I didn't say that.

Regardless this thread wasn't meant to be a hate rant on Bioshock, it was supposed to be what other people thought about the overuse of hype and which games didn't live up to their potential.

So you say Bioshock and you didn't mention Halo 3? What is wrong with you.

Because I knew what Halo 3 was going to be like; it's a damned sequel. It achieved the hype by being a sequel, it didn't offer any unfulfilled promises. Bioshock boasted it was "Oblivion indoors".

Eh, you guys continue arguing because you can't accept the fact that someone doesn't like BioShock. I don't really give a fuck, I don't like it, doesn't mean you don't have to.

Your response is null and void. Supply me evidence to support your irrational rebuttal.

Oh, so you're the only other one who has had an opinion on BioShock then, eh?

This proves my point how you just don't like people hating BioShock. What, is it the best game in the world? All you're doing is sitting here basically screaming out hatred for those who don't like BioShock.

What, can't you stand a little competition? Is BioShock your favourite fucking game or something and you're willing to defend it until the day you die? Come off it. Just accept the fact that not everyone is going to love the games you try and force down their throats.
