I don't mind a challenge but I'm also a fan of mindless skull-bashing where the only real goal is to just kill shit.

Yes, hard/nightmare modes are beastly and you will have to learn spell combinations to avoid INJURYINJURYINJURYINJURY

The patch they released seemed to make game much easier somehow, i had to pick higher difficulty to enjoy the game otherwise i either just stomp the enemies or have no chance against them.

What mysterious patch is this?

Even on Easy difficulty I'm fighting enemies that take forever to kill, and I want it to be easier dammit!

Why is that? Out of curiosity.

I've always found the concept of mages fun but the implementation in games is just confusing and difficult. The idea of kiting my enemies is just annoying or having to have so many bloody spells in hotkeys is annoying (like in NWN).

At first I thought all of Morrigan's powers sucked because she never uses the BEST ones in combat

For example, she can transform into a fucking bear

I thought shapeshifting was pretty lame, but its nicer on higher difficulties when you can turn into swarm when you are low on mana. Also swarm is God tier for getting to places quicker.

But yeah finish off her ice tree, give her the vunerablity and affliction hex and give her death magic (one after drain life) and if you make her blood mage you've got a solid mage. Both hexs will help your elemental damage rape further.

Neverwinter Nights esqe, it's real time but obvious hidden turn based stuff similar to KotoR's, you can play it like a third person shooter, play it like an ordinary RPG from an isometric view or PLAY IT LIKE KINGDOM HEARTS

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Your partner's AI is similar to FF12's gambit system. It learns after what you've set their tactics as.

My RPG strategy tends to be GET THE BIGGEST SWORD POSSIBLE AND HIT THEM TILL THEY DIE.

Ah that's good, should be somewhat familiar to it. All in all however, I think MMOs have made me extremely lazy.

Unfortunately, that doesn't explain it well to me ('cept for the last part) simply because the only Final Fantasy game I've ever played was the first one and honestly, I got bored rather quickly.

I prefer to call them nukes, explosions, entities that blow you up. Death Incarnates.

It's funny because mage is shorter than every one of those words, except Nuke.
