The later editions of controllers were a good step to correct analogue sticks

Things the PS2 did:
Great library of videogames
Golden age for stylistic videogames (Okami, Shadow of the Collossus)
Introduced pressure factors to button pressing on the controllers

Things the PS3 did:
Shittiest controllers in the entire family, hasn't yet followed Microsoft in the correct placement of the left analogue stick.
The console is physically too big, bigger than the Xbox
Shit library of videogames, exclusive IPs are rarely good games
Can't even keep PSN up
Took 4 years to surpass the 360, currently developing the PS4
Plays Blu-ray
Great and growing library of blu-ray movies
The US military buy them but not as a videogame console
Most likely as a blu-ray player

It's worth mentioning that they buy it most likely to use with OtherOS option which was removed later by Sony in a software update, see the conflict with geohot.

It uses Javascript to generate an image out of the string, embedded into HTML by the server.
