People are saying this is a joint spy update due to a previous statement and the fact that revolver is golden in the day 3 update, this is what the image was changed to this for a few minutes:

I also read that someone uploaded it to Steam - which is how it got leaked in the first place - but they've removed it since then. I can't confirm that statement though.

I love how Valve make a big joke of it, when secretly, they're probably kicking the guy in the face right now (or not, but I like to think of this as violent megalomaniacs).

Some of you on the forum have wondered if Valve leaked it on purpose. And until we find the clown who did leak it, the answer to that is yes.

EDIT: Anyone read any of the other messages after the Soldier reads the Red Spy, In Base, one? Some of them are pretty funny.

I think the Ambassador is a nod to Revolver Ocelot (notorious spy) when he was in MGS3 and Snake laughed and said "The engraving offers no tactical advantage"
