No promises, but Crytek UK may very well be getting ready to make a brand new TimeSplitters game. The studio -- composed primarily of former Free Radical guys -- is in talks with publishers over the possibility of releasing a new game. If there's enough interest, it looks like a thing that could happen.

Games pretty much suffer the same way movies, books, and music suffer. What was once a form of art and a developer's individual expression is now something that must be made marketable and therefore abide by formulas that made previous titles blockbusters.

Played COD with my boys about 12 hours straight today

Story:
Didn't play it, can't rate it, don't even know if it has co-op. Sorry.

Zombies:
It's exactly what you would want it to be. New maps, much bigger maps, more dynamic and intuitive. Everything's fleshed out and it's in a real sense a solid game mode. For the zombie fiends among us, the boxes are still there, the traps are still there (in greater, greater number and variety), you can still teleport and packapunch your weapons. It's great.

Multiplayer:
First off, guests are now allowed in multiplayer, or whoever on your console has Xbox Live Gold also. not entirely sure on whether you can play your profile at any location a-la steamcloud, but it's all good anyway.

Everything's balanced that I've seen so far. Grenade Launchers are a bigger investment having to cost the most points. You also cannot attach grenade launchers to every weapon, so it requires much more commitment to a playstyle within a class. The tomahawk seems to be better than the throwing knife, but I'm not sure as to why it. I've actually landed kills with it now, so take it as you will.

As for some other highlights, the crossbow makes a very good all-purpose weapon as the sticky grenades can kill if placed close enough to a target, or obviously stuck, and can also be used to blow up all manner of devices placed around.

To be honest, the series hasn't evolved, but maybe that's a good thing. It's pretty solid all around, and minor enhancements in all places make for a much more cohesive game, and overall a more fun game to play.

I had a pre-order of Black Ops for the PC, have since completed the campaign on Veteran and begun to play MP. Thoughts? It's good, SP has a good storyline albeit somewhat cliche and multiplayer seems balance and alot more fun to play. Personally I would say untill the price goes down it's definately not worth cashing out on however (I paid £34.99 C_C)

I don't understand why people are so butthurt about the truth this vet is saying, see this for my opinion:

He has those medals on for a real reason, not some stupid fashion statement. Having survived the real deal, I'm going to respect his opinion instead of saying something stupid.

There's a massive conspiracy atm with the PS3 version, an anonymous employee said they made the PS3 port bad because of the Microsoft deal. The PS3 version is very bad.

The BLING factor of weapons gets annoying with some players because they feel the need to put cheetah-camouflage-red-dot-silencer-clantag-emblems on their guns. If anything it just makes them easier to spot lol

Hey, remember SMGs from the original Modern Warfare? Black Ops is Assault Rifle City. SMGs don't do shit and are annoyingly short-ranged, meanwhile hop into any Search & Destroy match and you'll find everyone has a FAMAS.
with the exception of the AK74u which is kind of an assault rifle anyways

But other than that, decent. Multiplayer's alright I guess. Balanced.
