So I sold my Wii.

I love it but I can't stand it.

The bastard betrays me all the time.

I was fooled into believing that the Wii would have a significant amount of mature games. Not that I only like Mature games, I'm the first person to propose a game of Eledees and the like.

But, with my PC beginning to age (I KNOW IT SUX RITE) and my Wii not aging fast enough, I packed it off to some lucky person in the north of england (lol northerners) for £275.

I bought myself a DS (Ouendan\EBA, Metroid Prime Hunters, FF3(People keep telling me to forgive FF for the shit that was FF8), Drawn to Life, Mario Kart, Electroplankton, etc) and I plan to get a Radeon HD 3870 or a nVidia 8800GTS, or a 8600GT depending on what the benchmarks look like.

I still love the Wii, but I can't justify paying £220 for a game that isn't even released yet. (Scarface, The Godfather, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Call of Duty etc are not online games and as such I will never keep.)

The Wii was like a violent relationship with a really hot woman.

Don't worry, a lot of people are selling them this year, all my friends have, including Emma and Andy on this forum.

I was utterly disgraced, why should the UK wait for multi lng?

I have no idea. There is no excuse.

Now I know how those poor PS3 owners feel whilst they wait for MGS4.

More believable than you think, all it needs is that under million sales.
It really is 50/50.

I don't know if you've realised but Hideo is not happy with Sony at all, neither are Square-Enix.
I've already posted the Square interview.

The only people they can hope on is America and a fraction of England.

Hideo despite not being happy with Sony I sincerely doubt would port his entire game to 360.

He's more likely to do something like give the NEXT Metal Gear to Microsoft, or a remake.

I still can't bring myself to like the 360. Or any next-gen console out there ATM.

It has good games, but the fan on it ... makes more noise than a Dreamcast. It just annoys me to no end, hearing a constant "WHHHHHHRRRRRRR" noise. And whilst playing it over at my sisters, the console did that Rings of Death thing. Quickly fixed by a sharp blow on the top of said 360 and a reboot, but not something I would like to do to my console on a routine basis.

PS3 has no major games that I like on the market.

Wii... I just can't bring myself to flail around like a fish out of water to play a video game. If I wanted to do that, I'd buy several of the Dancing Stage (DDR) games, and try to get some good at that.

SMS FTW.

It isn't the first time they've ported a game to the Xbox, besides we know that MGS4 hasn't exactly got a exclusive license for nearly a year now.

There is no next Metal Gear

The 360/Dreamcast makes a noise? :-s
Didn't we already have the PS2 discussion?

Also, I don't see why people bring up the console breaking errors, wait 2 weeks for a free month and the game/accessory of your choice... lol. All for free.

Yep, both Dreamcast and 360 have ass-backwards fan noise. I get used to it after about 3 hours playing, but it eventually got so annoying for me on the Dreamcast, that I butchered the thing, took the fan out myself, and put it back together. Now I have no annoying fan noise, but my DC shorts out after 5 hours. Fair trade-off.

Thats funny.
I thought all machines do a little fan noice, I think thats called. "When it is running." You don't notice anything when you're playing a game on any system, apart from the PS2 or your PC.

Do me a favor
Put your ear to your damn PC, and tell me what you hear.

Now compare how loud that is, to your 360.

You don't like any of the next-gen consoles because of the fan noise? You fucking weirdo.

I have my PC and my original Xbox. I have no desire for anything else.

About the same, 'cept the 360 didn't near as good as burn my ear off with 60'C heat.

The PC while running a game?

PostPosted: Mon Dec 17, 07 2:31 pm

Only slightly louder than idling, just a tad louder than the 360, and it's about 70'C now.

(I need a better cooling system... :P)

Now compared the PS2 to everything in existence with the tele muted.

Why would you mute everything when playing a game. That really makes no sense at all. If you're playing a game, you don't hear the fan, easy.

I do. But then again, I hear extremely high-pitch screeching from most TV sets, so that says a lot.

Also: My PS2's a slimline now, after trashing the old one using various methods post death via DREs, including:

- Smacking it with a Squier Bronco Bass
- Smacking it with a mallet
- Kicking it
- Drilling it
- Dropping it off a balcony at night
- Watching it get crushed in an ash-cart.

So, no fan noise.

You tell me, I'm counter arguing.
