Half-Life 2: Deathmatch SDK & Mods?

Right, well, due to me having a Nvidia Graphics Card, i've been given 4 Games, namely Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Portal: The First Slice, and Peggel (I laughed when i played that) from a Valve/Nvidia Promotion.
Now, i'm still downloading HL2: Deathmatch, it's at 89%. Though i was wondering, does HL2: Deathmatch have any actual major mods etc. Also, does it have an SDK?...

No, not really, you need HL2 itself. In the past, you needed HL2DM for some MP HL2 modes (different source engines) but now that was solved with SDK Base. If there is any standalone HL2DM mods, chances are they're crap.
Yes it does have a SDK, if you own any Source product if it isn't a demo look at the tools tab it should appear.

Ah, so at least i can map on it then.
Meh, i should've gotten The Orange Box on PC instead of PS3, might be more choppy frame-rate and alot of freezing, but at least i would be able to Mod it. xD

Can't take it back now, too late really, unless it had a fault. Guess, i'll just buy an additional one...
Odd, i just looked under tools and i have the following...
Dark Messiah Might & Magic Dedicated Server.
Half-Life Dedicated Server
Source Dedicated Server
Team Fortress 2 Dedicated Server
The Ship Dedicated Server.
Though, i don't have TF2, Dark Messiah, "The Ship", or even the original Half-Life for that matter. =/
lol

Mmm... The download just completed.
There is no SDK under tools oddly enough. Yet under it's info in the store, it says it has an SDK. And this is the full version, not a demo. Bah. Humbug!
EDIT: Nope not there atall. Also, i just went in-game, under options i looked at my *Default* settings it gave me. Alright, my pc should be able to play that at a nice framerate. SO i joined a server, and OH MY FUCKING GAWD. Such a bad framerate.
Alright, i toned the graphics down, majorly from their High-Settings to Low. Guess what, not an *as bad* framerate, but still relatively unplayable...
>_< I hate this PC.

Doesn't require HL2 to run, It just requires a source game, and the last time I checked HL2:DM was one.
But you'll be missing some stuff I believe.
What graphics card do you have?

875MB running at 12,000Ghz.
On a different note, I got gary's mod with CS:S lol, played like 12 hours so far, and like 30 mins on CS hehe.

Well, the default settings for my PC were all on High, but even on LOW or OFF, my FPS was REALLY bad.
This PC's Specs:
CPU: 2.20Ghz Intel Celeron.
RAM: 1024 Megabyte (Aka 1 Gig)
GPU: XFX Nvidia GeForce 6200A
*VRAM: 256 Megabyte
Now, that should surely run on all low settings with a nice smooth framerate, letalone High-Settings.

No. It shouldn't.
A 6200A is like well, it's a joke really. A sick and cruel joke.
What Res are you running the game at?

The 6200A Should still, wether it's a good card or not, play on all low settings at a decent frame-rate. Seeming as the card is intended for Gaming.

That's like saying a 7300LE or a 8300\8400 is intended for gaming.
Here's the conclusion of a review I googled up.
Conclusion
Everyone evaluates things in terms of ‘what can it do for me?’ For me, hardware for my personal use falls into one of two categories; either it will give me an edge in my LAN box or on my HTPC. All products should be evaluated in the context of their uses and strengths. It almost felt criminal to throw Doom3 and Half Life 2 at the littlest GeForce but that is the only way to get an idea of its pixel pushing power which was of course lacking. If you are looking for an inexpensive upgrade to play some of the current games out today, the GeForce 6200 is not for you. However, more to the point, as far as a single slot and completely silent VGA solution for a home theater PC or a non-gaming PC then the GeForce 6200A may be just the ticket.
From this perspective the only problem we ran into was heat and driver maturity. Passive cooling cuts both ways. It means zero decibels at a cost of higher heat. You never get something for nothing. While the temperature was high it never proved to be problematic. As far as the lack of crispness of desktop icons and text, I have to attribute this to driver immaturity. The reason, I’m so quick to say this is that the exact same fuzziness of text showed itself when the GeForce 6800 comparison card was used with the same driver.
Priced at $69, the Inno3D GeForce 6200A draws from two different audiences. One of cost effectiveness and one out of want to get their HTPCs to operate as silently as humanly possible. This is why we are able to recommend the GeForce 6200A to the AGP masses that constitute these two groups. We wish to express our thanks again to Inno3D for making this review possible.
Pros
* Silent
* Fantastic bang for the buck
* Answers the need for many a HTPC builder
* Inexpensive
Cons
* Hot
* Immature drivers at present
* Not a gamer's card

Review Shmew. It was Designed as a gaming card.
And either way. HL2 automatically set the Default settings as High to do with my Graphics Card and other hardware.
Meaning i should get a decent framrate on low settings.

HL2 set my cousins 8800Ultra all to low and AA to 8x.

That's because that Graphics Card is technically unsupported as it didn't exist when HL2 Was released.

It only goes on what it knows.
I get a *better* framerate on HL2: Lost Coast, and that has more going on =/ Bah, i'm just going to by CS:S and Garrys mod (Which looks Pure ownage, one of the best things i see in it though, you get everything from HL2 To place in, other than Speech and Maps. Which i can cope without xD)
