Everyone but me hated it. I played the first one for N64 yesterday, and it sucked. I enjoyed Rogue Agent.

No flames, opinions on the game.

Filthy blasphemer! How can you compare the original masterpiece of Golden Eye with...THAT?!

It was a big screen TV, and the Golden Eye fan I was playing said it was the TV, but combined with the horrendous controls and the cellphone graphics, it was unbearable.

First of all the controls were the most bearable of any N64 game (IMHO) and the graphics were only 64 bit compared to today's over 256.

It's okay tbh.

I got to the volcano lair level, stopped playing and went to GoW.

It was so far ahead of the game for its time, nowadays it looks quite basic.

But back then - it was king.

I remember playing with my cousins with paintball mode for HOURS literally just messing about with proxy mines.

Oh hell yes. I always wanted to make a "mega bomb". The results were usually quite dissapointing but it was entertaining.

The cheats were a bitch to put in, but rewarded you with dual wield throwing knives...those were the days, no DX10 this or 1080p that. All that pure gaming experience fitted onto a 16MB cartridge.

*Lost in nostalgia*
