Ragdoll got theoretically owned

Postby Tantalus » Sat Apr 26, 08 7:45 pm

That's it, show off the fancy tech.

http://www.naturalmotion.com/euphoria.htm#video

Knew about Euphoria for approximately two years and am starting to warm up to the concept.

Games using Euphoria
Grand Theft Auto IV (partially)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Madden 09
Indiana Jones

At least it's better than DX 2 physics.

Seeing a blue guy getting hit by lasers hardly triggers euphoria. Try getting April Scott to star in a porno.

After seeing it in action with GTA it does still look like ragdoll.

It's ragdoll but with a difference.

The difference being that body parts won't move in completely ridiculous ways. I.E Bone structure is still present.

Whereas with Deus Ex IW you shoot a buckshot into the stomach and their neck twists a precise 180 degrees.

It's fucking hilarious in GTA IV.

Jumped off a small house onto a car and man did the Physics impress me.

Not just bodies that benefit from Euphoria, items, people, cars, everything except large structures. Unless a Tank is not enough to blow a house apart.

Blood too ofc, I crashed a hot dog cart + man into a mall window and me and my cousin were arguing for 10 minutes over whether that was the ketchup or blood on the display window.
