If you mean "Diablo 3 by North" as in Torchlight then I'm going to say "Diablo 3 by Blizzard" (discounting TL2 since it's not out yet), but if you mean "Diablo 3 by North" as in the Diablo MMO then it's a bit of a toss-up.

The whole MMO idea doesn't bother me when you take into consideration the fact that D3 currently has the same requirements of playing it as an MMO does.

Diablo MMO is pretty much Hellgate and the third Torchlight game in development.

Saw a few changes, don't mind all of them but the IAS nerf is going to hurt a lot of melee out there.

Would do (and have on the EU realm) but since I play on US realms it's not going to show you, unfortunately, which is something Blizzard should work on.

This is why I wish characters could live on all realms simultaneously, as I play primarily with a mate who lives in Australia, but have friends in the US and SEA regions, too.

Well, they completely fucked up the balance of durability vs play time. Huge bills for everyone!

Yeah, it's horrible. Even if you don't die often you still incur massive bills just because of normal wear and tear. Destroying pots and coffins? Only if you want to pay thousands later in repair bills!

This is a problem the CM's have admitted too, however.

We agree, and we're already looking into reducing the durability hit players take from normal wear-and-tear. This way, players who never die aren't getting hit with a giant repair fee every 3-4 hours.

Hey did you know the flag taunt thing (G) actually has uses?, you can use it as a summoning point for banners in town instead of players spawning right on top of you.

Huh. Overall though, I don't really use the banner much. I usually just forget about it, lol.

Sorry for double post.

The thing that comes apparent the most is that the normal attack animation is slower and doesn't have any crowd control abilities like Bash/Cleave and you don't have much utilities that deal AOE effects or healing.

It was fun, melee kiting rules and reminds me about Diablo 2.

Eh, not as slow as me, though I don't play the game as much as I used to because I don't really care for it anymore.

I'm quite of fan of affixes that improve Weapon Throw's damage for Barbarians. The Ranged Barbarian spec is quite viable and I've found it quite enjoyable.

I also like how two-handers are being improved upon (I prefer dual-wielding in general but have a monk for that): 2H Whirly Barb sounds hilariously overkill to me.

I'm looking forward to 1.0.4 personally, if only for the legendary changes so far. Pity the changes aren't retroactive... I wanted to use my Skycutter. >.>

Giving monster affixes to weapons? hahah awesome.

"This sword has a chance to summon a demon to fight with you -- with a twist. This demon has the Fire Chains affix"

LOL micro becoming more viable in D3 is awesome.

Fantastic news they're putting more affixes in, one of the truly worst things about Diablo 3 is the itemization. Hopefully they will make dungeon crawling similar to D2 with better randomised environments.

I'm loving the idea of a Desecration-type affix alongside Double Whirlwind Barbs, eheh.

The changes are good but should've come months ago. There's no reason some of the games issues couldn't have been seen in internal play-testing (not including AH-related issues since there honestly isn't any other than opinion-based ones).

The most obvious problems for me are the really punishing affixes and the heavy biased nature towards ranged classes because of them. If they do internal testing like they claim how could they not have seen these?

Do play-testers find getting their asses kicked repeatedly by a bunch of fear-spamming, arcane enchanting, invulnerable minions fun or something? Are they all masochistic? Or do they honestly believe the idea of restarting a game just to avoid one boss is an awesome and entertaining procedure?

Cause I fucking don't.

The disparity between ranged and melee in terms of ranged kiting was never my biggest issue. My biggest frustration with the game is just some of the painful affix combinations you can get. Inferno has it's issues with the whole "GET FOUR DIFFICULTIES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!" but I could live with that. I couldn't live with being forced to restart a game just because of one Champion/Elite, though. It ruins the entire sense of immersion, progression and is just not fun at all.

too long; didn't read: Wah wah, QQ. Still going to play the game. 1.0.4 looks freakin' boss. Hoping monk updates are as fucking awesome as barbarian. Am extremely thankful they're buffing classes as opposed to nerfing them all to shite (because god knows everyone loves buffs).

Well, it's good that somebody else agrees, hah.

I don't believe in the numerous conspiracy theories that plague the official forums, I just believe something should have and could have been done sooner.

I still believe World of Warcraft has seriously spoiled Blizzard.

I have to force myself to stop reading the comments section on sites like YouTube and Blizzard's sites. They're always just downright demoralizing.
