I've downloaded the demo version of DN and played the 1st episode again

. I've finished it in 1hour and 40 and now I feel like... woow.

DN is an unstoppable flow of adrenaline and excitement. Really an awesome game.

Rarely a game had so much effect on me as Duke Nukem and I was wondering why ?

I played warrock, fear, crysis, gta 4 & gears of war but nothing. Is it because all this recent game are more based on an awesome graphic instead of an awesome gameplay ? but either DN had an innovative graphic for it's times, the 3D wasn't widely used in 1996, but they made an awesome game anyways !

Duke Nukem was and is a damn good game and there arn't, in my opinion, a lot of good games out there. There are some "decent" games but I haven't found many great games. I believe that many developers now focus a lot more on graphics than on gameplay or storyline. Which annoys me as a gamer.

No, not all developers do it, but there are undoubtably a ton of games that have bloody awesome graphics but they just don't have the gameplay/plot to go with it. I own The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (fairly old now, but whatever lol) and to be honest, I find it a decent game but it's lacking in gameplay and storyline. It's graphics may be a highlight but fuck graphics if the game itself sucks shit.

Duke Nukem 3D's High Resolution pack fucking owns. But it takes forever to load, on any computer I've seen it played on. Still fun to play the old memories. IN HIGH DEF.

Close the notepad about how to configure it, move teh directory and re-open the notepad.

you can't move a directory where there's a file that is currently in use.

I just noticed that I beat all 3D realms time in the first level. I would like to make a speedrun and upload it on youtube but when I try to record colors aer all fucked up :shock:

I have Duke Nukem Plutonium Pack in all its awesomeness!!

My first foray into Multiplay games back in 1993 was with DN.
My friend opened up a computer shop and networked 4 computers.
His son put on DN and began to own everyone until I came along.
"Damn your better than my dad", he told me. Man that was fun.

Is high res actually finished. Last time I tried it some of the textures
were still low res and not complete. Mind you that was some years ago.
Ill have to download it and play it again.

Because of this thread I actually went out and played the full game for the first time, instead of the demo that I played many years ago.
