Just wondering, like. If so - opinions?
I quite like it. Bitch of a system hog though.

Many people played Crysis here it seems.
Not long ago we discussed that after entering the cave the game gets really boring.

Hmm. Can't say I agree, but we'll see - only been playing half an hour!

It's ok, I like the costum single player maps available, single player gets really boring after that cave yeah

I haven't played it, I've seen a few screenshots but no videos. From what I've heard it's laggy as shit unless you have a high-end gaming system. Which, of course, I do not... YET...

It's laggy on every high-end gaming system as well -- if you set settings to "high" and you're a widescreen user.

Don't wanna boast, but not for me it's not.
Altho I did buy a 19" monitor especially for Crysis, as my rig won't run it at my 24" monitor's native of 1900x1200. It runs fine on high, but with no antialiasing.
I like it at very high at 1680x1050 with 4x antialiasing. I get about 50fps at this setting, I don't think that's bad relative to the demanding requirements of the game.

Most games generally run fine on 40-60 FPS, I would imagine. That's what I get on a lot of games, not so much the newer ones though but my laptop really isn't made for gaming.

Training Island is amazing, it's like playing a skirmish game, it's still a bit bugged but rather fun

Do
not continue when you get to the mine. Trust me, there is enough gameplay to go back and play again before the mine, and it is better to remember the game for what is before the mine. I myself am on my third stop-at-mine playthrough.

My opinion of Crysis is basically reverse of everything said in above post

I'm calling bullshit.
What are you running?
Let me save you some time, I already know.
The highest average FPS a 9800GTX gets in Crysis, at the settings YOU mentioned is about 23. With a Q6600 and a 15% OC on the card brah
Why lie

Changed video card since my post about the new rig, I shoulda mentioned. I now have the SSC version of the same card, but it comes OC'ed (not particularly comfortable with overclocks myself) as standard.
Don't ask me how I get such good framerates tho lol. I just do. And the Q6600 is way slower than the E8500 anyhow. Quad cores just don't cut it in terms of raw speed. I know the Q6600 in particular is a good overclocker, but my preference at present is dual core...
...until I can afford a QX9770, that is.
And a pretty hefty cooling solution.
And a GTX 280.
Meh.

Ignore ^^
The game is good, I lagged abit at the very end when looking at all the alien effects/ships but other than that was ok really. Played on Hard all the way through xD.
The ending is very sudden and caught me off guard, was preparing to go off for the next mission and suddenly the credits start rolling, seems like an unfinished game to me lol.
The Multiplayer confused me, I joined and everyone started nuking each other and all the ships were floating around, it seemed like battlefield 2 complicated by 10,000 and more advanced tech xD. Also you buy all your guns and stuff everytime you die :/

Correct. I said I
LIKE it at a higher resolution. I tried that res on my 24" syncmaster, but altho it looked good (evn tho it wasn't the monitor's native res) it didn't look perfect.
I bought the 19" specifically to play it at a lower res. In fact, I'm now playing at 1440x900 (shitty little Acer monitor) so I can get the best detail outta my system.
Also a correction: it wasn't 1900x1200 it struggled at, it was 1920x1200 (sm245b has 16:10 aspect ratio)

I didn't really want to make a thing of this
But why lie?
Even a GTX 280 in SLi requires a 20% overclock or more and a OC'd E84\5 or QX processor.
Just admit that you lied brah

I have a 320MB 8800GTS and running on a Intel Duo Core E6750 2,66GHZ with 2GB of RAM and I'm playing Crysis with maxed out setting on 1440x900 with about 80FPS...

1440x900 ain't too bad, altho that's still a bit hard to believe...
Hey Protocol - guess what? Might've exaggerated. Just slightly, though...
..actually seriously it was only slight. I seem to be averaging under 40, but in quiet times I'm getting well over 50 (not many quie times in this game are there!!)

Would be redundant, think the maths speaks for itself really.

.... Oh, shit, sorry.... I forgot, your card isn't even on there!
Lol. Still proud of my computer anyway.

also, all of them are running on Vista (in the pic) so I can't really call the results accurate.
