After a total of 8 months and 12 days, my PS3 has broken. It happened during a game of Fifa 08, during which, the game froze, so, i cleaned the disc, to no avail, so i reset the system. Now, it won't read any disc of any sort, including Blue Rays, DVD's, Games and CD's.

After looking this problem up online, it seems most likley what has happened is, the blue ray drive has fucked up, and will not be reading discs again, i've been told to send it to Sony to get it fixed, free of charge, as it's still under its first year warranty.

I miss my PS3 :(

If its under a year, you should be able to take it back to the shop you got it for and they should switch it on the spot.

Thats what game did with my xbox.

Rung Sony yesterday, sending out a courier to do an "exchange" apparntly on Tuesday, a refurbished unit , not what i wanted, but they don't make 60GB's any more, so i'm not too bothered.

And for once, the support was actually "helpful", not like others such as Tiscali, full of foreginers who don't understand what im saying and vice versa -_-

No courier arrived, i spent the entire day waiting but nothing showed, i'm giving them tommorrow nite, if nothing appears, i shall be phoning Sony again

Left it till Saturday, no coruier, called them, got angry, they apologised, said another courier would be out on Thursday, a week and 2 days after the original one was meant to be here. B.S
