All Points Bulletin, an MMO developed by David Jones for Windows.

Character customization is the best I've seen.
MMO is not the same thing as an MMORPG

A couple of years ago while playing GTA:SA MP with Alex I came to a conclusion that someone should make a modern (non-ancient) MMORPG that is based on a confrontation between the police and the criminals, because in GTA:SA mp the whole thing was
very entertaining (chasing groups of armored criminals on a police vehicle with sirens or bombing a full of players police department from the Hydra, priceless

).

Sadly they're coming up with an MMO subscription, but cooler that they're also offering an hour based subscription along with unlimited month playtime.
You can still play the game 'socially' for free but you cannot participate in PVP without subscribing apparently. I bought it and I'm going to test.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfnSJza6i2Q if you're wondering what the game looks like from my perspective.
Including Bad Romance theme
I'm impressed how much you can twist the game to your liking, customising your theme as midi, the music system for cars being used by Lastfm, so if you have the same song, same artist or similar artist you'd listen to either one the driver picks. Character customisation is the best I've ever seen and designing cars feels like a mini-Forza.
This is going to succeed as an mmo

Friends been playing it for a while now, according to him there are considerable lag issues (he has fast internet connection and good pc). Hope they will be ironed out.

It's mostly the loading up popins that cause the massive frame drops. I have no issues with frame rates as it has been great for me.
But yes its not very optimised for below 3.0ghz and around 8800gt cards.

Oh wow, is it actually Unreal Engine as it states in Wikipedia?

Looks more like blurry GTA:SA (not that I complain..)

Unreal Engine 3, it has no anti aliasing. APB does however have a hack but lol fuck that I'm not turning it on.
Screenshots look so bad due to the jags, of course in motion it looks a lot better but frame by frame its easy to spot the JAAAAAAAAGS

Yeah, this is essentially all sorts of multiplayer modes, in an instance. It's less grind than a CoD game.

Wether you spend hours shooting up people in a game or wether you spend hours "grinding", is there really any difference as to the "NO LIFE-ness" of it? You're not participating in real life with either of the type

Yeah, but if you shoot up people in real life, you're pretty much giving your life away, regardless.
Also, I'm pretty sure saying "UT DA BEST" on an internet forum qualifies as a no life activity.

Indeed, but these people who will qualifies are retarded. UT is for ProGamers not no life.
Pro Gamer != No life.
We play for money ( THE MOST OF THE TIME ), not for noobing on games like WoW with a fucked childish gameplay, xD.
Anyway, now this is QUAKE LIVE DA BEST, since the game is very more active (ESWC for example) and have a lot more cups.
But the gameplay is still : UT > QL.

Quake will always be better than UT.
Except for UT2004, but we've got Team Fortress and Enemy Territory for the gimmicks.
