This game doesn't exist, it is fan art:

After seeing this fanart, I wanted the game to become a reality.
Basically I'm going to definitely make and finish a hacked version of Megaman 1 or 6. Based on the SNES game Earthbound.

8 guardians and stages (all are on one stage, but the themes will change to reflect the original Earthbound sanctuaries):
  • ANT MAN (Onett)
  • MOLE MAN (Twoson > Peaceful Rest Valley & Happy Happy Village > Lilliput steps)
  • SPROUT MAN (Threed > Saturn Valley > Milky Well)
  • SHROOOM! MAN (Winters > Rainy Circle)
  • RAT MAN (Fourside > Magnet Hill)
  • TWIN MAN (Dalaam > Pink Cloud)
  • ELECTRO MAN (Tenda Village > Lumie Hall)
  • CARBON DOG (Fire Spring)

Final area; DEVIL MACHINE
  • Magicant (boss: Mani-Mani)
  • Night time Onett (Boss: Starman Deluxe)
  • Cave of the Past (Bosses: 8 guardians)
  • Giygas' Lair (Bosses: Porky w/ spider mech & the Devil Machine
  • Giygas: (Boss: Giygas)

Concepts of the above:

Megabuster is replaced by baseballs
8 guardians give you a PSI/PK move or just a move in general
  • Baseball bat
  • Flash
  • Shield
  • Freeze
  • Fire
  • Thunder
  • Rockin'
  • Starstorm

If Megaman 6: King the dog upgrades, PSI based upgrades also (TURNS OUT IN THIS ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE THAT KING HAS POWERS DOHOHOHOHOHO) He's just going to be a rip-off of Rush.

Burgers and Mammoth Burgers replace health, Caramel and Truffles replace ammo, Butterflies replace Energy Tanks.

If you've played Megaman you'd understand all of this.

I'll be building it on Megaman 1's engine as the base (easiest apparently) and if I finish that successfully I'll port the work onto Megaman 6's engine.

Megaman 1 editor:

Megaman 6 editor:

All I really need to do is pixel art, try and fit within 8bit limits and create levels, that's it really. I'll be completing design animations for all bosses and Ness/Megaman as 8bit as possible and then focusing on levels without proper background art. When I complete the levels I need to spice them up so thats when I need help.

If you're interested in games like Megaman and Contra and can do simple pixel art, and want to help in the future please play Earthbound in full then when I need the help to rush the final versions. I'll be ever so pleased.

I want Jay back!

But TTP that's an acceptable name for a Megaman man boss; unlike Ant.....Man.

Sorry but is that supposed to be Ness?

My pixel version or the fanart?

Either way, pixel version is very much like the original Ness but with a NES (dohoho) Megaman ripoff, and the fan art has MEGAMAN boxart protection.

Funny, I don't recall Ness having bulking biceps.

I don't remember Megaman being muscular either. I can't wait to buy Megaman 9 this month also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_9
