Taco n' Banana (Abbr. TnB)
"A serious HL2 roleplaying community"

Taco n' Banana is a serious Half-Life 2 roleplaying community for Garry's Mod. With over 760 daily active members, it can be said that Taco n' Banana is one of the largest serious Half-Life 2 roleplaying communitys. Taco n' Banana runs a unique script (Tacoscript) coded specifically for TnB, the script is constantly updated with new features, be it new models, or new items, or even new roleplaying commands! Unlike most roleplaying communitys, TnB has a friendly and mature playerbase of over 1,000 members which is steadily rising.

Build your own unique character from scratch (Choose your model, your base stats, name, backstory, sex and your age, plus much more) and begin your life in the HL2 world. Develop your character's personality, get enlisted into the CCA and work your way through the ranks, or if you're more daring conduct anti-civil activities. If you're into more passive roleplay you always have your good ol' fasioned citizen.

Taco n' Banana has FOUR servers, each give a different perspective of Half-Life 2 roleplay. (City [S1], Precinct[S2], Outlands[S3], Combine Inner Nexus[S4]). Never get bored of the scenery with there being plenty of different maps to play on, some even being/designed for TnB itself! Like the mysterious City 8 which is set in the Combine controlled Japan.

Want better stats? Or a custom model? Or more tokens to become the richest oppressed citizen on the planet? Then look no further, you can always donate to TnB for bonuses. Your donations go to paying for the servers, and enhancements to them.

If you're a fan of Half-Life 2 and Roleplay in general, then Taco n' Banana is for you!

I am all for roleplaying, in fact I enjoy it. But if these guys are serious maybe a better name than "Taco n' Banana" could've been made. Because honestly, that's a fucked up name. Why do I have a feeling you have something to do with this?

[BB]Roleplay are fags, back in the day they used to offer premium membership, one payment for lifetime advanced user and then one day (HURRDURRYOURSUBHASRUNOUT) eat a fucking dick

Admins are fags

Only guys there who aren't fags is Teddi and Kaiden

Taco N' Banana are also fags, full of elitist morons thanks to the DONATE AND YOU BECOME BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE idea.

Roleplay online sucks, period. The only reason I ever liked BB Roleplay was because I could build a gun shop out of PHX panels and shoot people.

I enjoy role-playing but not on forums and mostly on RPG games (I prefer fantasy RPing). I tried doing it on WoW, I play on an RP realm now but around 70-90% (I'd say) of the population are a bunch of fags who just want to ruin the fun. Or people who don't join to RP and just cause their friends did.

It's goddamn annoying too because I actually made profiles and personalities for my characters (yes, I did say I enjoy RPing and I also like improvisational theatre). You get the occasional RP guild but seriously, it's not as great when it's planned as it is when it's random.

My problem with RPing on WoW is that Blizzard don't enforce their fucken rules for shit so I stopped reporting people. It was a waste of time (and their stupid report thing blocks my buff bar lol). And WoW's really the only MMO I've ever seen RP on personally.

Roleplaying on Everquest 2 was sweet as everyone did it, those that didn't like proper RP would always speak somewhat in character in a group. It was nice to have everyone co-operating like we were real people

Until you realise that guy is a 6ft 8 Cat\man (Kerra hurrrr) and that just couldn't possibly happen

Yeah, I've heard that EQ had superior RPing style. But then, I've heard EQ2 has had MANY superior qualities compared to the likes of WoW. And you know what? If it does, why do 11 million people play WoW AND why do the people who claim EQ is so great play WoW?

It doesn't add up. Same thing apples to Warhammer Online too.

Don't they have any notifactions for OOC chat? Like what people in most MMOs do when they go OOC they put the OOC text in double parenthesis.

OOC Text, Local OOC Text, etc are all seperated.

For instance an OOC message in chat would look like this

Joe Bloggs [OOC]: Hello.

Whereas

IC =
(No colouring)
Joe Bloggs: Hello.

People are not banned for saying "lol", though people will be *taught* by an admin if they say it ICly, unless it was an honest mistake. On another note, donations do not give you any benefits on an IC basis that other people cannot get without donating, besides custom models. On an OOC basis, sure donators can if they choose get access to the script testing forum and server, however that doesn't make you *better* than anyone else.

WoW has a much, much shorter learning curve, is already popular, runs on everyones system no matter when it was made, has a community full of morons (the internet is 90% morons).

WoW and Halo are one and the same

Halo and WoW are both good games

But both are very overrated

I would say WoW is worse, because Halo is one of the best choices on it's platform for what it does (Multiplayer FPS) whereas with WoW that's not quite the case

WoW, more like welcome obesity wanker.
Halo, more like Gaylo.
