The main reason this fucks me off so much is because all the work that went into it and then they just up and leave it. Having trouble funding? Release earlier, and don't fucking change the engine so many damn times.
Excuses, goddamn excuses. I feel sorry for the damn dev team that wasted ~12 years of their life on this fucking lie. I have lost my faith in Duke Nukem and 3D Realms.
DN3D is the only one for meh (besides the sweet-ass side-scrollers).

But there's a difference there, though.
Eidos have the stability. 3D Realms on the other hand hadn't released a title in over a decade, so of course they're the first ones to be axed.
However! You may never know. As Free Radical has been purchased by CryTek then perhaps 3D Realms could go the same way. Imagine them being bought by CryTek, also...

Well, I don't think they could really ruin the Duke Nukem series. 3D Realms gave it up, so they clearly don't give a shit.
