May I say though I am honestly not bothered. Since the majority of people here seem to be in the UK so having it set at GMT makes perfect sense.

Their servers are laggy as FUCK, even for someone living in the US.

I can't even get past basic training because of random timeouts from contacting the server. Ridiculous.

From the wiki:

Due to the massive load of players attempting to create accounts, qualify for training, and play on live servers, the Authorization servers for the game, hosted by Pragmatic, have been crippled. The developers and US Army personnel are working to solve this problem, but it's still remains a problem as of 10:00 A.M. EDT (GMT -4) 06/18/2009

Users are requested to wait patiently until the authorization servers can be relieved of some of the load they're having to deal with.

Not giving up hope though, CMON US GOVERNMENT!
