Personally, I find it sad that Eidos wouldn't sell the rights to Spector. I think it would have been suitably epic to see what else he could have come up and, quite honestly, think he could have fixed the entire downfall of DX:IW if Eidos had let him try.
Now we're getting Deus Ex 3. There are some people out there excited, I am one of them but I still fear that'll be some half-assed game made to make money and just another DX:IW. It being a prequel for one doesn't really entice me too much either (unless it was made by the original team).
But meh, nothing you can do about it now because Eidos want to keep that title firmly in their grasp.

If he makes something in the footsteps of Deus Ex then it might actually be better to have a new title rather than dragging the old one by its feet. I will be trying DX3 much like Ive tried IW, which I did not like one bit, but I dont have any particular hopes for it. It takes a man with a head to create something good, and if Spector has some stories to tell in the veins of Deus Ex, then that can only be good.

Yeah, it's a shame to be honest.
He should have rights.
Personally, DX3 would fail too, from my honest opinion. It will contain no such editors.. I don't even really know how this so called "Tomb raider" engine is. They should have continued with Unreal Engine.
But maybe.. from SP players.. not MP players or Modder's point of view.. it would be great.

I'll buy DX3.. but I won't expect it to be better or as good, as the first.

Unreal Engine must be expensive and even DX3 creaters know that their game will suck so they want to spend less on the game itself

If you want to make a shoddy second rate title, don't defoul the legacy of a good game

Hey I still think Invisible War is one of the best games to grace the last 6 years.

It was alright, wouldn't label it as one of the best though.

What about the Deus Ex sequel with the same name?
Anyway, since they don't want Warren's help this means DX3 is going to be a game for collecting our money and not a good game imo.

See, I liked the game too. I didn't mind the gameplay too much (I am still a fan of mindless killing) and dialogue, even if the story was weak.

Wouldn't they need a yay-hundred thousand dollar contract commercial licence though? Even if they were to use the UE3?
