Anyone who knows the past Fallout games have faith for this game while still producing the same effect as FO3. Picture related, it's the head developer on his current FO2 walk-through (plus restoration mod) which is being the base inspiration for the game.

no 3D crap with special effects could come to close to that (IMO)

Another 2d isometric game is never going to happen officially, the best you'd have to deal with is the suspected isometric mode in New Vegas.

Also that FO2 style on, FO1 style off perk "weird wild wasteland" god damn. Also Marcus is in FONV

Comes out the day after my birthday, am I excited? Hell yeah I'm excited!! Spent over 300 hours with 3 different characters on Fallout 3.

Can only see it as boring considering the game has terrible FPS mechanics, writing and basically a playground with nothing to go on and empty atmosphere.

I played it without mods. Probably my second favourite game after mass effect 2.

Im yet to play F3, not really into todays games but I thoroughly enjoyed ME1 ME2 and consider them one of my favorites. Rather disappointed and bored by Bioshock. I get the feeling that in spite of what it might be worth (or not be) compared to its predecessors, F3 still makes for a pretty good game?

Fallout 3 is my favorite game since dx, no jest.

DX is my favorite game since DX.

I might rent, or try New Vegas.. Not too sure about the buy factor though..

I have both on my laptop and are brilliant for when I'm away on ship dae. They just ear up the hours.

Fallout New Vegas gets good reception at PAX, plays the same as FO3 of course but reports of streamlined. Also alchemy is in the game which is a cool new addition even if arguably taken directly from Oblivion code, though it should give a new usage to SCIENCE which was useless in vanilla FO3.

Loved every second of FO3, definitely looking forward to this. Not the pic above obv...

I only found out recently the Mirelurk's weakpoint was the eye. I thought combat shotgun was the only proper way to kill them for a long time.

I kept running out of shit. The main challenge of the game was keeping a balance of money, stimpaks, radaway, food, and purified water.

Feel so sorry for those who didn't play this game on PC, you aren't playing a good FPS or RPG, it's a dirty and very ugly boring game by a developer (which is somehow above water despite everyone being neighbourhood friends, seriously) who cannot create a decent face or quest line.
