8 games. (not including spin offs like Wii/PS2 versions and DS tie-ins.) between 4 studios. You should look at the Battlefield series within the same timespan + 1 which were developed at DICE. It is a fact that always makes people cry because the COD games are overexposed for the same criticism.

COD dosn't remind me of a series that screams lack of effort, it's just they know the formula that most of todays gamers look for, simple but effective gun toting action, thats 3/4 of the gaming population nowadays.
