R.A.T. 7

So, my R.A.T. 7 mouse just arrived this morning from the post.

I must say, I'm extremely impressed with the quality of it. for $110 it better be quality, but Saitek went above and beyond with it.

Despite only having a few macro's (which doesn't matter because I have enough keys with my merc stealth keyboard), it has COMPLETE customization. It only took me about 5-10 mins to tweak it the exact way I wanted it.

Dpi is super easy to adjust. Using the software you can set four custom dpi levels to switch between on the fly, as well as pressing the scroll wheel down, and adjusting an exact dpi by wheeling up or down at the same time (also on the fly) at a range of 1-5600 true dpi.

Comes with a tin full of five 6g weights, and 4 other interchangeable parts such as pinky&ringfinger rest (which I'm definitely using the hell out of right now 8)), a normal left side panel, rubber palm rest, etc.

On the thumb rest (that you can also slide up/down or adjust the tilt) there are two macro's (that I'll probably only use for switching weapons), and the sniper button. It's a silly little red button than when pressed, dips the dpi to any preset level that you want. This comes in handy for making quick, precise shots. A bit over more to the right, there is a horizontal scroll wheel, and above that.. a "mode" button I havn't bothered to configure yet.

It has a braided cord, with gold plated usb.

Also available is the lest costly R.A.T. 5 with lower dpi, and the overpriced wireless R.A.T. 9 with the same dpi as the R.A.T. 7, but less response time because it is wireless. So the R.A.T. 7 is really the best.

For the price and performance, this is the best mouse I've ever used, and I definitely recommend it.

What you've bought is the definition of gimmick, this post is completely over the top because you just bought an average overpriced mouse.

The mouse advertises it's primary main feature; the adjustments and removal parts. Even when fiddling around with these it does not match the quality of comfort when compared to commonly used mice from Razer or Logitech, comfort and DPI. (which with Cyborg's and Razer's over the top specifications with the average consumer resolution, having 5200 is almost useless.)

The only thing that drives this mouse is a minor feature, the DPI adjustment valve or whatever you want to call it, but this is useless to most people as they're used to only using two settings and it's much faster to activate, most people keep to one setting too so adjusting it is useless.

By the way, no one serious uses that mouse because, surprise, it's a bad mouse. It's advertised to be one of the top video-gaming mice but it's a complete and utter gimmick to grab wannabes.

I suggest taking that piece of shit back and getting a more suitable mouse, here's a small quick list of more suitable mice in order of preference:

    SteelSeries Xai Laser £57
    SteelSeries Ikari Laser £40
    Logitech MX518 £28 / Logitech G5 £42
    Logitech G5 £42 / Razer DeathAdder £44

The MX518 is not only a budget mouse that has always been viable and widely used professionally, it's also the most arguably comfortable mouse on the market.
Logitech G5 is mentioned twice because the MX518 is best for people for average/small hands, people with large hands are best suited to the G5.

Also, for good measure:

My m8 has the Deathadder, and I'm not a fan as it seems geared towards WoW users. I've tried half of those mice, and they're pretty good, and I enjoy this mouse to the same degree. The dpi levels come useful outside of games for precision, example being photoshop, and SDK's, where I want a low dpi.

In Canada, all of those mice are around the same price. my mouse was $89.99 without shipping, and tax.

For the money I spent on it, I enjoy every aspect of it. Different strokes for different folks.

Good day to you sir

I managed to get my MX518 for £17 off amazon, and haven't had a problem with it. Everything James said is true. Enjoy your overpriced sillyness.

LOL

Rest of your post is shit get rid of that fucking mouse.

Also Deathadder is the worst mouse on that list of best mice, if the RAT isnt included then that means something.

I don't see what the big deal is.

Even if it was overpriced, I still enjoy it. It's a great mouse.

It's worse than a Microsoft sidewinder.

it's a shit mouse, you paid too much, and you got a shit mouse. you didn't get any quality out of this all you've got is ignorance to give to people who are laughing at your bad purchase and suggesting to replace it before it's too late.

Remember, I didn't have to get the overpriced version with higher Dpi. You can Get..

R.A.T. 3 for $47.99
R.A.T. 5 for $74.77

They both come with the kit, and are comfortable, Precise, and customizable. I've tested out a lot of mice, and being iffy with the R.A.T. 7, I definitely tried it before buying it. I loved it, and hence, I ordered it.

Have you even tried playing a game with it before James?

The R.A.T. mice are affordable for what version you want, and the majority of gamers love them. If you don't like it, cool. You don't have to be insecure and write an essay.

Yes I have it's shit, also those review sites are terrible save for kitguru, which is not bad at best. the review (which i've previously read) states barely anything about the performance yet yaps on about the adjust-ability, which again is the only feature anyone talks about despite not being very good. kitguru arent very good either because they've barely reviewed any mice and the lowest score they've given is an 8/10.

enjoy your terrible mouse, i'll use [anonymous] mouse and out-perform it.

honestly that shit not only performs like any average gimmicky high-dpi mouse (shitty), it also looks like something from sweet bro and hella jeff

>Performs well.

And you've compared this to the mice listed?

The R.A.T series is a generic laser mouse with STUFF obsessively added to make it seem like good value.

If you want to play FPS games, get an optical mouse. The MX518 is the best mouse in terms of price and, when compared to other mice, one of the best performing.

I, myself, have a Razer Diamondback 3G because I have a small hand and the old 3G sensor on the Deathadder and Diamondback is the cream of the crop.

Perhaps that will be my next purchase. However, this mouse is good, performs well, and is customizable, as well as comfortable for my awkward hands, and that's all I'm looking for right now :) .

I know it isn't AMAZING.

-but I like it :P

You're spending $110 on a mouse and my post is redundant?

I think your life could do with some re-evaluation.

Klop, to clairify my post. I spent $110 on a mouse, and I have a girlfriend.

It's this thing called JOB

and another thing called HOURS

and another thing called HOURS

and another thing called MONEY

and another thing called MONEY because of more HOURS

and another thing called GIRLFRIEND (who I'm breaking up with because she's very immature and clingy)

and another thing called grammar, which you will find nowhere in this post.

I also bought a keyboard last week for $110 HIGH FIVE. It was a steelseries merc stealth. NOT a cyborg.
