TS2 = one of the greatest games ever.

ts4 is coming out retard. and most importantly it will be properly online and on a platform that would do it justice (pc)

also i'm going to say it again, one of the things many people disagree with me about:

ts series shit. fuck off with nostalgia goggles because it was funny as fuck and playable for consoles and it worked very well. but even then it wasnt close to the standards of similar fps games such as tribes, quake, unreal tournament etc.

it was definitely better than the console halos

it was ultimately just golden eye (from the same people who worked on it at RARE) with silliness

dont get me started on the editors lol

You say those like they're bad things!

Much longer lifespan than both Quake and Unreal Tournament on the console, and actually wasn't just TWITCH-TWITCH-TWITCH-TWITCH followed by TECHNIQUE, TECHNIQUE, TECHNIQUE.

golden eye and perfect dark were ultimately better.

As soon as Crytek UK (FRD) finishes with Crysis2 MP, they are going to begin TS4. I'm a HUGE fan of all the TS games (ALL PLATINUM TROPHIES, UNLOCKS, AND RECORD TIMES YO). Crytek said that as soon as the "grey, green, and brown shooters" trend dies down, that they will begin dev on TS4.

TS is some of the most fun I've had with FPS. Especially when you have a bunch of m7's over and do splitscreen.

There's an array of game types, a large selection of weapons, and hilarious playable characters. No doubt it'll continue to be funny with Rob Yescombe's script writing.

Amen to that.

TS2 16 man fist fight playing as monkey. FLOOR LITTERED WITH BODIES.

Yeah. The monkey is quite annoying.

The very best thing about TS3 was Tony the Tiger as the announcer.

I actually felt TS3 was on-par with TS2.

considers playing one of the TS games when looking for something to play with m7's as aidan put it... loll... any good?

Oh guys I hear you all out. I've played many many many matches of all three games myself, with my brother, and with friends.

I think we finally might be entering the era of "I'm sick of grey, green and brown shooters".

Crytek needs to let FRD show their magic. Don't know what the next installment would be like though considering Dave Doak left FRD after the Crytek Acquirement.

<s>P.S. Can this topic please be moved to the Games/Tech forum?</s>

Dave Doak was a vital key in FRD. It's hard to say. We still have Norgate and Yescombe though, so I think it'd be good.

Also, think about how popular Call of Duty, etc. used to be compared to now. There's been a drastic change.

People aren't talking about it all the time, and living/breathing it all.

Not over here actually. Not sure about EU, but in NA, nobody is as interested in them as they were some years back.

In fact, those I find who consistently played those games are now actually playing indie games such as Minecraft, etc.

This is a very good thing.

No, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is set to be more popular than the highest selling videogame of all time, Black Ops. The pre-orders alone blow it out of the roof.

Argument over, back to Timesplitters 3.

not sure where you're from, but in North America call of duty is the highest grossing video game series of all time, bar none

lol the biggest fanbase is in the US

Why the hell do you guys always get so deep into game company politics n shizzle... do you guys like work in the industry or something?

Who gives a fuck whos behind what etc, i hate to do this but in the words of EA a few years back: "It's in the game".

Perhaps it's only Canada then :/

Crytek only mentioned creating Timesplitters 4 once there has been a declined interest in grey/green/brown shooters.

Looks like we'll be waiting extra long........

Why are you being cryptic? Speak your mind. It's as though you're looking for reasons to be an ass.

Your post is also going off-topic.

It's already been said.

Maybe I'll throw in some Skrillex to make it super cryptic.

Anyway, TS2 was actually quite dark in certain places whereas TS3 was always more light-hearted. If TS4 would ever be released, it would be very self-aware and in to parody...take that as you will.

Nice faulty youtube post.

It'd be nice to see a combination between the atmospheres in 2 and 3.
