I haven't played the original Saints Row games but this totally looks like GTA:SA on steroids mixed with GTA:IV. I think I would have loved it in my teen years, but now it all looks a tad over the top.

To add, I like the cell shading tone to the game as well. Makes it look sharp.

Played it for about 16 hours, not far on story but don't care - WHAT STORY?

Good game. When it inevitably comes on sale on Steam, get it and play co-op with me.

Decent port, no real slowdown and doesn't require a 4GHz quad core to run like SR2.

DLC is really just the standard extra content, nothing that will make you feel hard-done by; same stuff we saw for SR1. Although bullshit that invincibility is a DLC, fuck you Volition.

Gang notoriety is no longer just wave-after-wave of same mobs with SMG's and shotguns. Now there are specialist units which can be a real pain on the harder difficulties, oh and there's giant mini-bosses called brutes if you get enough gang notoriety.

Some features are missing from SR1 which is a bit of a downer, but nothing that makes it horrible.

- As moronic fun, nothing really better. For a fully developed experience with intricate plot and deep characters, PAAA-HAA-HAAA-HAAA! Then again, what did you expect?

You have to admit at least they did a better job with the driving physics dawg compared to SR2
