Hardest Video Game Experience

Postby ynnaD » Sun Jun 26, 11 8:44 pm

What was yours?

I'm giving mine to trying to finish Call of Duty : World at War on veteran mode, got to the second last level, even with the 1 shot whilst hidden kills and the constant grenade spam, only to have my save data corrupt on what was probably the hardest level i'd ever played, needless to say , i've never touched it again.

God Of War 2 was pretty difficult on its hardest mode but exploits made it slighlty easier

It took me like 2.5 years to get all gold medals in Tony Hawk's Pro Scater for Symbian on Nokia 6600. But that killed so much time back then in school, between school and pre-university courses, queues etc so I don't regret it.

The first and the only time I played something on veteran/expert was Left 4 Dead. That day Jay invited me to his team with Clix and someone else to take Dex's place to beat the finale. I guess Left 4 Dead's expert mode is not too hard by today's gaming standards, but we all made it and it was fun.

(Root Beer) Tapper, alien stage
Sinistar
COD4 on Veteran, the level where you're in Pripyat and you have to get picked up by a helicopter
Halo 3 on Legendary solo (didn't take long, but was frustrating)
CJ following the damn train

SPY HUNTER
F-Zero GX
Tons of levels in RE: Outbreak and Outbreak 2 on Very Hard/Nightmare mode (especially Showdown 3 in Outbreak 2) good times though when I played it online with friends and we did speed runs
Joust and the pterodactyl, fuck the pterodactyl

But the hardest game experience that tops it all was playing Contra.

We didnt have as much games with dex on l4d1.

On l4d2 each time you two were on a team that was losing, it ended up in a flamewar between you two lol

FFXIII: Barthandalus 1st form and third form. I didn't find the second form as difficult.

then...

FFX: Sin Jecht, and then Sin Jecht II

Hard as fuck (if you play the game at a normal pace)

Then after three solid months of consistent levelling, and obtaining god weapons, I finally beat him.

There are other games I've played that are a lot more tough, but they'll come to mind later on.

I've also began playing AC:Brotherhood today as I haven't played it yet for some bizarre reason.

THE FUCKING CANNONS NEAR THE BEGINNING TOOK ME AT LEAST 15 TIMES.

As soon as I heard "AHH NOO RELOAD THE CANNON AGGHHGGGGG!!!!! ggg..."

-WHAT THE FUCK REALLY!!??? I STILL HAVE LIKE 9 ENEMY CANNONS LEFT TO DESTROY ON THAT SIDE

My characters were quite weak when I took a go at Jecht, I was too stubborn to level them up more, so I kept attempting him.

That's odd, I found all of Seymour's forms quite easy. Same with Omega weapon.

Also, I just remembered that elemental blob in the Guado forest.

Others : (When I was young <.<)

Spec Ops - Stealth Patrol
Diablo
Super Ghouls n Ghosts
Resident Evil 2 (Made me scared)
Final Fantasy 7 (Especially Emerald & Ruby)
