What do you guys think? I have a feeling it'll be a lot more badass.. but after maxing myself out in the first, I found things got repetitive and boring.

I did not play the first [Prototype] but I sure like the look of it after watching a lot of videos on it. I saw some footage of the second one and I like how they are expanding the options of completing the objective relying more on being discrete. I might have to check the first one out so I can find out why people are doing a war with Prototype vs inFamous.
All aside, I think it looks really cool

The first prototype was a lot of fun, I'll definitely be checking out the second.

Yeh, I played the first one on Xbox, and thought it was fun. The only problem was that I got bored of doing the missions quickly.

Yeah, it felt as if the first game was TOO easy (even with higher difficulty settings).

Some games like Prototype and Conviction might be easy but I think it is a necessary sacrifice in return for feeling powerful and superior. I may be wrong but a lot of players like the satisfaction of clearing out a load of enemies with style rather than completing a super hard mission on the hardest difficulty after 100 tries.

This is a great point. It makes you feel superior.
However, I only wish they would add a lot more destructibility to the environment.

"at no extra charge"
Maybe they just mean every day something new gets unlocked for free?

It is an incentive to pre-order to purchase the game at full retail price at selected stores, people who won't preorder or pre-order from a different store will be disadvantaged. Kind of like Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network.
The problem is also that the content will most likely be on the disc itself because of patching/DLC costs for developers on console networks. e.g. it costs $40,000 to simply title patch a game on Xbox Live (1MB-50MB on average).
