You take a look at the numerous "top 5" "top 10" zelda games, metroid games...

"HEY LETS STICK TWILIGHT PRINCESS AND METROID FUSION AT THE TOP"

Here's what it should always be;

1. Super Metroid
2. Metroid Prime 1
3. Metroid Zero Mission

4&5 are between Metroid 2, Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime 3

1. Zelda OOT (yeah I know, but it actually is)
2. Link to the past
3. Majoras Mask
4. Wind Waker

5 between original, the oracles, 4 swords

A Link to the Past or Link's Awakening for #1
Followed by Wind Waker
Majora's Mask
Zelda 2
Oracles
Ocarina of Time is a game I really hate.

Apart from OOT, we have a very similar list.

That's what most fans are like though, they either rate A Link To The Past or Ocarina of Time more. Mostly due to the first Zelda they played or they prefered one over the other.

A Link To The Past vs Link's Awakening = because Link's Awakening has a jump button.

Also any Metroid list is fine as long as Super Metroid is on top, there's no excuses. Not even Prime 1.

Super Metroid only beats Prime because it is a Core Metroid game, whereas Prime is from a spin-off series.

Both games are 10/10

"Console FPS which doesn't focus on FPS-required reflexes, and has a different control scheme to accommodate for it's gameplay."

10/10

It was a much different gameplay experience to your standard FPS.

It didn't follow the Wolfenstein/Doom/Quake model (encounter, react, shoot, replenish health)

It didn't follow the Goldeneye/Perfect Dark model (stealth, encounter, shoot first, no requirement for health replenishment (unless you cannot take the enemies down before they shoot at you))

It didn't follow the Halo model (encounter, react, shoot, shield replenishes automatically)

It didn't follow the Call of Duty/Battlefield/Cover based shooter model (encounter, react, hide, shoot, hide, shoot, health replenishment)

Metroid Prime is (encounter, observe, if defensive, prepare and shoot, if offensive react and shoot, health replenishment as reward)

The main point is observation, most FPS's are "shoot the head", Metroid is "if you don't scan, you won't know the best way to take this thing down".

And Goldeneye/Perfect Dark are both 10/10 console FPS's
