I love these ways of DRM. There was this other game that gave you a pirate hat if you pirated the game, together with the game just being totally unplayable

It is real, and it is pink IIRC.
The best DRM remains Mother 2/Earthbound, in my opinion:
Enemies appear more often 2-3x
The game freezes before the penultimate battle.

Haha, watched that video last night about SS, quality.
Problem is, couldn't he just fire on a cheat to make him invincible or something, problem solved?
Or will there be countermeasures for that too?

That would still ruin the game for you tbh... Playing a game with god mode is no fun. Even if you are able to enjoy it, it would get boring really fast?

Yeah, just like HL2 which had the no-AI DRM, strictly speaking you can still progress, but wheres the fun if enemies don't do ANYTHING.

At least those games don't make the game harder and doesn't stop before the 2nd to last fight and deletes all your saves...
