Good riddance, been following coverage. May upload letters (kinda outdated) sent to staff later, was reluctant to leak them myself prior to these actions.

Need to use my £20 gamecard, although it'd probably still be cheaper to buy something on Steam than in-store even with the gamecard.

Never realised the HQ was in my home town.

But seriously, good riddance. Horrific pricing and just flat-out not competitive in the slightest.

Sad to lose staff jobs, however.

RIP Card, all reward points and gift vouchers are now redundant pal :(, i've lost a few reward points over it

The company themselves? Fuck them, they deserve all they get, feel sorry for the employees though.

Plus, even though i said i felt sorry for their employee's, it was amazing the amount of times that the employees hadn't any sort of gaming knowledge, and are/or rude

At least CeX charges pre-owned games for their worth.

I was looking at my letters/documents that I have and the only one I've found unique (not published in the videogame or business media) is very un-interesting, the cutting of staff hours. :'(

So with GAME and Gamestation dead

This leaves, CeX, HMV... err.

For exclusive Game retail stores, CeX and HMV don't even count. Ha.

There's more revenue in online stores, Game Group suffered from over-expanding and unrealistic prices.

Steam for all my real needs, Play.com for all my casual needs

Guys, I hear you metnion "CeX", there's one of these in Cardiff... basically doing a mobile phone recycling comparison online they've offered the highest price... are they trustworthy? Don't wanna jump on the train and travel 25 miles to get ripped off. I know this is a bit of a generalisation, but are they any good? Got a bit of spare cash so might buy some old games while I'm there, but don't really know what they sell etc...

/offtopic.

Right... don't give a fuck for GAME, but I quite liked my local Gamestation. The staff were great, they felt like they really cared about my gaming experience, never tried to upsell the most expensive kit when I went in for something cheap/shit they'd simply tell me they thought it was a bit "sub-awesome" [sic]. And who can hate a shop that still buys and sells Mega Drive games??

Also, their "store is closed" poster said "your nearest respawn point is"... that automatically makes them awesome. Lol.

In all seriousness though, I really will miss my local Gamestation. Can't say I've bought anything there in the last few years but they never cared if I went in just to ask their opinion on games/hardware. I know this probably isn't representative of the company but my local shop rocked.

My old man's gonna be pissed off, he's got about £40 on his GAME card.

GAME 'saved', trying to re-structure. I only know minor details.

Someone told me that the owners of Comet bought Game for a quid.

Not sure if serious.

Nice play on words.
