As far as I know it leaked a while ago, but now it's an official release.

I would like to try it out but if it's as buggy as Hammer World Editor was when I was trying to use that a few years ago, I think I'll pass. The issues with Hammer really put me off the whole thing (which is why I haven't gone back to it), I don't really want to go through that whole ordeal again.

This would have been a lot more valuable back when machinima was a thing.

Except that it's still a popular medium.

It's not EA.

Machinima are still evil. Sweatshop ethics and infinite possibilities for renewal of contract - literally the contract goes on forever.

I'm not defending the company, I'm defending the genre. Machinima.com should be used to differentiate because the machinima genre is fine.

Bitch all you want about how it's full of crap products but so is every entertainment industry. There are bad video games, bad books, bad movies. Bad everything. It's not the medium that's bad, it's the product itself.

Aside from this I also can't blame publishers for every fault of a movie or a video game. BioWare, for example, knew what they were getting into, just like everyone who ever signed a contract with Machinima.com. Yes, the publishers have their part to play in the problems, but so do the contract-signers.
