Galaxy Note II

Postby Aidan » Thu Oct 04, 12 1:29 pm

This is the one phone I've been waiting a long while for, so I can get rid of this wretched iPhone. I mean, it really just makes sense to have a large screen phone these days. For the amount of times us younger people phone others, I honestly don't care if I'm holding a 5.5 inch phone to my ear. I'd much rather have clairity, and screen room. Where some may argue that IPS is a better screen, I honestly think that ammoled is better for mobile phones because it's easy to see and stands out. IPS is better for monitors as your screen size is much larger, and your able to enjoy the natural colors.

Also, the. New S Pen is very cool.

1.6Ghz quad core & 2Gb ram is a yes please for me.

I never understood why phones would need more than 2 cores.

I was going to get one of these I swear, but at the last minute I decided against it and got a Galaxy S3 instead, it's coming today :D

The Note 2 is a beast of a phone though. Maybe root it and get a hybrid tablet ROM on there so the 5.5in real estate is not wasted on a huge UI

Bill Gates never understood why PC's needed more than 8mb of RAM.

If I'm going to have this phone for three years (because we have godawful three year contracts), I would like to be able in managing newer operating system versions throughout time.

Fast multi-tasking speeds for a low term cost? Why the hell not?

Are you going to be doing video rendering on a phone?

Playing GTA IV?

If I ever needed or wanted an application that required that much processing power, then yes it would prove useful for that. However, that isn't my point.

I use my phone a LOT. I don't like lag, and I've always progressively noticed it when upgrading the firmware/OS. Down the road, I'd like my phone to withstand whatever I throw at it, and maintain the same speeds. Newer applications, and OS versions require more resources, and I would like to have those resources considering I'm going to be stuck with this phone for three years.

It's not technically a phone really. It's a 'phablet' (lol), and I'm buying the device knowing that it will be more like a mini tablet.

I'm not purchasing the Note 2 purely because of the quad core (it's not one of my top priorities). It's one of the features I'm not too concerned about; but I do know it could prove very useful down the road.

My dual-core iphone is slow as shit now. Where It used to be fast when i bought the device; it now lags from performance hogging updates. I barely have any apps on it as well.

This is hands down the best mobile I've ever used.

I have now obtained it. The specs are amazing, and I can do just about anything I can think of on it.

I am foaming at the mouth.

Hehe. Yeah, it was 637kb, and no one knows if he actually said it or not.

Asides from that, I am buying phablets from here on out. This device is fantastic.

Anyone who thinks Bill Gates would say something so utterly short-sighted is rather short-sighted themselves.

In any case, I have two points:

1. I want one of these, or even the same one that Protocol has. Though I have absolutely no need for one, what-so-ever.

2. The word "phablet" sounds really stupid.

Tecnology has gone too far and surprisingly its more or less become an OS system which performs all the core tasks like OS. I have just bought a new note 2 and it is really great.
