I have a question about CS. What's the difference between Source, 1.6 and CZ?

1.6 is the patched original mod which was commercially made for HL1.
CZ is a updated 1.6.
CS: S is the fully updated ported version of 1.6 using Source's engine, the phsyics are amazingly funny.

The older CS's work fine on my comp, but CS:Source lags like a bitch for me. It's like 1fps per second so i cant play it.

In originality at the momet, yes, but only because DX hasn't been cloned yet. You have to remember, CS was the first of its kind.

the reason, i think, that CS is seen to be better is because of the way it has been upgraded and patch continuously since its release... and DX only received one, and the developers left it at that

this is because Ion had other fish to fry, and Valve concentrated on HL, CS and the other mods etc etc

however, i think if a few more patches and upgrades had been released, and maybe had they been released sooner, DX would have got the credit it deserved

people forget that in the year before DX1 was released, it had an ENORMOUS hype, and was one of the most anticipated FPSs ever!
all that seems unimportant now, cos the game is dying, and other more popular games are out, but we still shouldn't forget how amazing DX was for its time

it was truley amazing, how much DX was being talked about

the lack of an MP facility in the original ruined it, unfortunately

My cousin introduced me to it, 1 year later I saw it in a bargin bin.

I got it free along with STVEF with meh PC three years ago, almost.
