Today i finally obtained a copy of Counter Strike Condition Zero and with it came to discs install and play. i put in the install one and i cliked on install counter strike but then as the two pictures show i get these problems.

PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE HELP.

Ok i managed to fix those problems and i succsefull installed the game then you have to put in the install disc to play it. I then click on play but then the screen zooms in a the picture zooms in PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME AS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR COIUNTER STRIKE SINCE FOREVER AGO.

Make sure everysingly thing is fully updated, including the original Half Life, CounterStrike and all that stuff.

PS -Steam is a bitch, i hat it

Yes Steam is a bitch, I know that and i've never even used it.

Also, I feel sorry for him, Steam on 56k connection. :cry:

OK people i dunno where you are all coming from so let me start from the start.

I buy the game.
it has problems.
i install Steam and thats it i don't use it or anything.
i install the game.
The game won't start.

Did i do something wrong or are there important files from Steam or something i need?

Open Steam and select each and every available game, and the client will download updates etc. It will take a while, maybe 2days on a 56k modem.

Once that is done, you can play.

007 did you get a CD key from your CS:CZ?

If so goto Steam>Browse Games> Register a product I already own and then use your Key there

Hopefully that should get you onto Steam and CS 1.6, then in theory that should be it, if you get anymore problems like you got its because your machine cant hack it, most likely because of the graphics card

So through Steam i have to install everything ( i registered the CD key).

I installed through steam Condition Zero and im doing COunter Strike as we speak. When its finsihed i will report back ok ppl?

I installefd Counter Strike but when i click play it freezes steam and it dosn'nt load.
Moving on to Codename Gordon.

its too difficult for me to understand. IIll unistall everything and forgot i have the game thanks for your help im logging off now cyas tommorrow.
