Help me configure the graphics setting on my PSX Emulator, it's on all the highest graphic settings, but it's still crap. This is an example of how bad it can get, keep in mind that this is, or is supposed to be, a game with very good graphics-

Yes, it is.
Edit: Oh fuck. Nevermind. I just loaded it up on my PS2 and it looks way better than that.

From what you remember, but I played the game not so long ago on PS, and it isn't anywhere near that bad.
If it was, I wouldn't have posted this topic.

well its just Cid from the looks of it
maybe its just your graphics card, mine didnt like my rip of RE2, if its alot of the game i could understand, but comeon, FF7-9 were not exactly gods gift to in-game graphics

Sorry about the lesser eyecandy. But there's one important thing to remember. It's
Final Fantasy, you don't need to have awsome graphics to enjoy a game like this, as long as you can tell the difference between the characters, all's good.

The awesome story should be able to carry you through. Only sad thing is that you miss out on the cool battle effects.
Do all your games appear like that on the emulator?

It's the only game I've tried on my emulator
And all the individual pixels can be made out on ALL the scenery and characters.
On the game, the scenery is supposed to be better quality than the characters, but with this it's the other way around..
And Geddiz, I might still be able to enjoy the game, but the graphics
enhance it
And Ben, FF7-9 had the best graphics on the PSone, and have better graphics than some PS2 games.

speaking of PSX Emulator, I have some trouble in running it.
1) I don't know what are the requirements to run it
2) Do I need one of those ps2 game pad thingymagic
3) Which one do I need, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM

CD-ROM i believe.
And the actual game cd.

I'm pretty sure it can be run of .ISO, and I'm not sure, but I don't think either CD or DVD drive matters.

well I asked the third question was because PS2 games have DVD disks (last I checked) so I was wondering whether you have to get one of those or not, but it doesn't matter since I have a DVD-ROM anyway.

I got everything all set up, now I need to wait for my friend to find his FF CDs so we can start playing. Apparently his house is messed up beyond compare to my room (which is really messy)
