I voted Proto, because this i thought was based upon looks, if it was total scaryness including ability I would have voted Nemesis
Heres my overview of the tyrants ive faced;
Proto:
Looks - The fact this bugger always has that crazy smile/angry mouth thing going on is what did it for me in terms of looks. His already formed claws are pretty intense as well. - 5
Ability - The other factor, but not one mentioned here. When playing against this guy, hes a wimp, mediocre strength first battle, complete wuss second battle. - 2
Total Scary - 7
T-002:
Looks - Pretty crap tbh, he has the whole claw thing, but because he doesnt look mutated or given a good costume hes just your standard tyrant. - 3
Ability - Complete wuss in first round, complete Vin Diesel in second. TBH his scary factor only really comes to play when you finally get to the end, before that hes just a wuss or non-existant. - 3
Total Scary - 6
T-103:
Looks - For looks hes got the other end of the spectrum, he doesnt look grotesque or mutated, he just looks imposing, which is still good. - 4
Ability - The fact you have to face him multiple times is a + point, but really hes not hard to drop. The end up his scary factor a little in ability. - 4
Total Scary - 8
Nemesis:
Looks - For what he doesnt have in imposing, he makes up for in grotesque, tenticles ftw! - 4
Ability - He follows you... Thats the best ever thing they could do with a tyrant, its not that he scriptly follows you to a degree, but the fact that if you dont drop him, he will chase you till the next 3-4 areas. Made me cack my underpants quite a freakin lot! - 5
Total Scary - 9
T-078:
Looks - In terms of bodily looks, hes a no no, no real grotesqueness and only a slight imposing look, but in the cutscenes hes in it adds an atmospheric look tension. - 3
Ability - First battle is harder than most tyrant first battles, you have a time limit overall, and when he gets to a certain point, your dead anyway. Second battle was pretty intense as well, including the fact he pushes back the device you need to kill him. - 4
Total Scary - 7
Thanatos Tyrant:
Looks - Except the fact hes a black tyrant, hes just the T-002 pretty much. - 3
Ability - He makes up for it in ability, almost reaching equal to the mighty NEM, its just that he doesnt have that throughout the game imposing quality. - 4.5
Total Scary - 7.5
Thats my sum up of the ones ive faced.

Was the creature that you bump into in RE2 that looks like an alien dog a version of tyrant? Because it's cool when your about to finish it off ffor the last time, it sprouts huge claws and razor teeth that kill regardless of health. that=Pwnage! It's also cool when it sticks it's super claw in the cable car

Thanatos when he is angry, because he eats his arm off and that somehow mutates his other arm.
But for scariness, Nemesis, because that dude is straight up scary.
Proto Tyrant, I don't see how this guy is scary, he just looks like a deformed zombie with claws. Not scary folks. And I think Ben is racist, calling Thanataos black. Call him African American for christ sakes ;p
Thanatos is an awesome guy. He's the best tyrant I've ever faced. He continuously follows you, and has an ultimate death move +. The fact that you get to electrocute him makes another +, and face him off again in REOF2. He is the best looking Tyrant in swim trunks. Also, the first African-American Tyrant. gg.

Wait, doesn't that Tyrant have like 3 forms? I played RE2 on the Nintendo, old school =p
Edit: All the tyrants have now suddenly been decapitated.

Dunno.
Does Nyx and Tyrant R count as Tyrants? Because then, all of the said tyrants above would be sucked in and owned.

Nyx is not a Tyrant.
Tyrant R is.
Nyx asorbing Tyrant R is an abomination of both.
William Birkin classes as a G-Mutant, although he may contain some parts similer to a Tyrants, he isnt pre-genetically altered like them, classified, engineered to be one (unless the G-Virus is programed to do this) and isn't as stable in his mutation.
Other G-Mutants in the future may include Sherry Birkin...who is possibly still infected or already one but still is 'human', and maybe the DEVIL vaccine didn't work completely.
G-Mutants also include G-Imagos, who are merely just splooge out infant weevil-like G-Imagos.

Tyrants come with some kind of limiters.
When this limiter is released or removed, their mutation fucks up!

The only images there that work is the William Birkin G-Mutant Type 2 and Lisa Trevor.
And if the description you used to classify tyrants is true, then T-092 doesn't count as a Tyrant, as it was just Morpheus Duvall after he injected himself with the TG-Virus.

Refind the images and host them somewhere else then, slave!
Also, I would class Morpheus as a Tyrant rather than a G-Mutant.

What about Krauser from 4?

What about Alexander? Does he count as a G-Mutant?
And how did the outbreak in Resident evil occur? I've heard so much resident evil info, but I'm still not sure how it happened. James Marcus spilled the T-Virus across a table, right?
Or was the outbreak in the city due to William Birkin injecting the virus rats in the sewers (in revenge against Umbrella)?

Krauser has little information known about him, he is either a Las Plasgas infested bitch or a strong virused cunt!
Alexander is NOT a G-Mutant, he was injected with a very unstable T-Veronica (nothing to do with T-Virus really, apart from the progenitor virus being one of the ingrediants), he is deemed a failure of an experiment by his own daughter Alexia.
James Marcus caused the spill, or should I say Queen Leech as it isnt really him?
That infected everyone in that area, when the mansion blowed up some of the infected more ordinary but zombified creatures and maybe zombies and shizzle remained, and they slowly made their way to infect people with it slowly to the city.
They have been reports of attacks on people before the main outbreak, but it was very very very minor and was either dealt with easy, increasing slowly.
William Birkin speeded up the infection by breaking the T-Virus and the rats spreading the T-Viruses

I heard that the hunters were stable and followed orders, but elsewhere I read that there were 2 Umbrella scientists who had to release a tyrant to get rid of the hunters, because they posed a threat to them.
Were they ordered to kill all survivors, or were they just another mindless, rampaging B.O.W?

I have no knowledge on resi whatsoever, because my first experience of resi was at a BAD TIME. (Cousins house, family were asleep, me and him playing resi three, When The tyrant followed me, I Pissed myself.)
If you play resi at night, your gonna have a BAD Time, Mmkay? So lets be careful NOT TO HAVE A BAD TIME.
