BattleField: Vietnam

I was playing in my first clan war in BFV yesterday, I recently stopped my solo or die regime and joined one...

Anyway, the experience was immense. We were playing a total control map, which means you only lose player tickets (things which allow you to respawn etc) when all command points are taken.

23 minutes to go...
23 minutes until the end of the final round, both teams 1 round a piece. They are up 87 tickets to 2. Just me and the clans co leader left. The adrenaline is pumping, no Im serious it was... Me and him are dug in on the only way to our command point a single dirt road. For 16 minutes, me and him hold off attacks from the enemy, him with his M60 chain gun, me with my M21(?) Sniper rifle. At the end of that 16 minutes or so, we'd reduced their ticket count to 19, and only been pushed back a bit.

7 Minutes to go...
They start a new tactic and start barraging us with mortars, I couldnt work out where they were coming from, so we retreat to the command point.

3 Minutes to go...
The co leader keeps firing off rounds to try and prolong their final charge, we mange though to take the ticket count down to 11.

1 Minute to go...
We are barraged by gunfire of all 8 of their players, we manage to take out 3, but I recieve a shot to the head and the co leader dies taking a further 2 enemies out.

The rush I felt throughout that game was magnificent. I have never experienced anything like it in a game. In DX, if someone started doing badly or the odds were stacked against them, they'd give up and leave, something just stuck me there and wouldnt let me budge. In DX, there is rarely a sense of true teamwork, we'd know when the other needed covering fire so we could run off to the ammo box and refill our health bar.

I think this is probably the best in game experience I have ever had. Just thought I'd share it...
