whats the mutliplayer side of it like?

Download Steam, Get HL2 Demo, and Play.

Now Imagine all those weapons (Yes the gravity gun too) IN DM mode.

Thats the ONE reason I'm getting HL2, because the multiplayer is AWESOME.

The last time I played (At my uncles house) I got owned by some guy who wouldnt stop throwing crane pieces and vending machines at anyone who moved >_<

The multiplayer is just like counter-strike but you can pick up shit and throw it across the room and there's great mods for it,the best one ever is Gary's Mod lets you make all kinds of machines,ragdoll poses,any form of art.

Counter-Strike:Source is good when you want to kill random nubs, but is _far_ too much of a pain in the arse to play long term...

I woould if i knew what that stanted for ,anywho,half-life 2 is still a pretty good game and after you beat it you can play it like 3 more times finding gman sightings and easter eggs and then buying after-math after that

Buy HL2 and get CS:S free?

Mine came with CS:S, and imho, it's the only reason I don't feel cheated out of 50 bucks.

Personally i don't like games like CS, but CS:S is worth seeing. However I had been playing it for 3 weeks and got bored.
HL2 as single player game has impressed me.

I'm torrenting Half Life 2 and CSS at the moment

I want a copy!! I've never played any of the Counter Strike series. I've play HL, HL:Opposing Forces and HL:Blue shift tho.

Well i say if you are going to buy half life 2 get "Game Of The Year Edition" like i did,gives you half-life 2,half-life 2 deathmatch,counter-strike:source,and half-life:source although the half life source looks like piss,thats why that team is working on the "Black Mesa:Souce" project,making all new models and crap.

No, it's much much worse.

HL:DM was good. It changed the way people made games.

HL2:DM is bad, it makes CS:S look like the uber leet game of doom, which it isn't.
