Half Life 2.

Wow.
Just wow.

AS LATE AS I am, I have to say, this is what Deus Ex 2 Should have been. Its just so.. wow.

I've only gotten to chapter 8 (6-hours ftw. This does not look good for the timescale)

But WOW.

Only thing I can nitpick about is A) The SMG IS SHIT
B) It feels a bit like a large physics demo. (Almost every puzzle you need the gravity gun, or to do something involving physics. I.E putting barrels in a box on a pulley system.)

And if I read right, there are only 13 chapters, which means I am passing science very well, or this game is short =(

But still. Wow.

Hahah I find that quite ironic, the main character has a PHD but doesnt do SHIT related haha.

lol Yeh same thing quite annoyed me about the HL's. HL2 is fucking awesome though!

"Hey I'm a scientist in my lab... What's that? Alien scum taking over?! Arnie move aside, scientist one man army is in town with Matrix style learning abilities for all vehicles and weapons".

XD its so fun though.

Man, apparently he was given some backstory in the manual saying he was trained in basic firearms incase of an emergency in the PS2 port of HL1.
XD
Doesnt explain how he almost saved the world, twice.

In the Halflife 1 training you do train in basic firearms

Machine gun and attached grenade launcher.

Maybe he just played a lot of Halo 7: Another horde of aliens threatens guy in special suit

Masterchief wasn't a scientist, he was a battle droid of kvlt! Say whatever you want about Halo2+ but leave Halo1 out of this, it never did anything to you!

Ahhh him lol

Derek, don't read into games then when you play them they will either be shit or good and you won't be disappointed from faggotry hype.

IMO thats kind of silly.

Not playing a game based on it being overrated, how would you know if you hadn't played it? Or did I misunderstand?

And yes, It is fairly linear, but it is fun as hell.

If you've not played it you can't call it overrated!

I'm looking forward to HL3. : )

Barney Calhoun was also the main character of Halflife: Blue Shift

IMO that isnt canon. I believe Barney to be the guard who meets you at the begining of the original HL.
Just like in HL2.

Marry me Benjamin, marry me now!

And Barney is the security guard you pass on the train, the one just before your stop who is locked outside a door. Blue Shift reveals all.

Its developed by a third person party too, think about it.
Concider Blue Shift a fan fiction.

Barney meets you at the begining off the tram / Barney meets you through the security.

Both are the only 2 people you HAVE to talk to at the begining of the games.

I had a mod a wee while ago that you played a janitor at Black Mesa and then the big thing went down and you'd to fight your way through as the janitor.

Now that i look at it,Black Mesa is a very dangerous place cause it seems everyone except for the scientist's that wear white coats have the ability to come through impossible odds and kill thousands of enemy's,cause it sure looks like Black Mesa unleashes the psycho killer in almost everyone when a alien dissaster happens :-P for people who have only been trained with simple small arms firearm training and a little semi-automatic firearm training have the strange ability to pick up any gun and adapt to it and apply the skill of a master sharpshooter withing minutes  shows how dangerous it really is in the dark alien filled depths of Black Mesa "Black Mesa, filled with scientists causing huge alien invasions since 1983" :gj:

Where did you get this quote from.

And yes: IT IS one of the best multiplayer online games. EASILY. (Throwing radiators at people, knocking cars up to make makeshift barricades)

And I wouldn't be surprised. Steam must have at least a million customers.

Maybe it actually IS that good. Just because you didn't play it doesn't make you above the people that rate it for what it is. An excellent game which focuses on gameplay.
