They didn't replace anything, they ripped it out. All future emulation is to be done on the software level, not at the hardware level.

As it stands, nearly 2000 PS2 games are playable on the PS3, and the patch that fixes display problems is already included with the PAL versions.

It doesn't have a negative effect. No-one ever said that. The fact is, that games require money. The more money spent into flashy effects, and sharper models, millions of high-res textures, etc on PS3 and Xbox 360, Is spent into ways to utilize the Wiimote on the Wii. (THIS DOES NOT GO FOR PORTS.)

Also, what makes you think its "not a factor." The PS2 doesn't still outsell it, and an Eye Toy equals a "ghetto Wii" in the same shape that a green orange equals a pear.

Give Sony a small chance. I have realised that Xbox 360 will kick PS3's arse in sales and has the best year for 2007, but what am I to do in 2008?! *cue traumatic music* are you saying I have to.....revise?! THE PAIN!! Seriously though I will probably buy one in 2008 along with my new HDTV and PC .

Most games have a "professional script" written, especially RPG's. As far as I know, the game isn't even released yet, so how the hell can you talk about how good a games script is, when you don't HAVE a script to look at.

Jesus. For a start, graphics isn't the ONLY compelling element to a game. You go on as though the Wii's capabilities end at 2D. Look at upcoming games, I.E Metroid Prime 3. The graphics on that are extremely sharp and well done.

Please name these "compelling elements" as I'd really like to hear all two of them.

Your playstation 3's SIXAXIS can also be found, In a second rate arcade. so can your systems graphics. What is my point? I'm not making a point, I'm saying just because something is avaliable elsewhere, is a moot point. Not everyone wants to go out to an arcade to enjoy something they can do from home, without putting £1 in the machine every time you die.
