DXAlpha has been moved!

Hello all, and welcome to the new server.

DXAlpha has been moved to a new server.

This is due to several reasons, but one of them is that we wanted (as die hard geeks we are) a better server.

The website of DXAlpha currently has a minor glitch; the news items are out of date. But we're working on that!

Any questions?

Previous hardware:
Intel Celeron 2.40GHz
512MB RAM
80GB HDD

New hardware:
Intel Core i7 920 4x2.67GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
2x750GB HDD (RAID 1, so effectively, 750GB space)

Yeah, it sure is. We especially needed the diskspace to be honest, as we ran out from time to time.

There was a small downtime the past night:

This was due to unstableness of the network driver with the OS (CentOS 5.3 64bit).
The network driver has been adjusted, and now it should work properly again!

They are all on the same server, so yeah. Should be fixed now!

Thank god the new hoster has a great helpdesk: Respond times through e-mail within 30 minutes, between 8AM and 10:30PM, the previous host (Strato) took 1 to 2 days to respond..

UPDATE: Apparently, the old network driver loaded itself again. Will take some more moments before I fix this, but it will be fixed at the end of the day. I shall not rest!
