Your settings for avatars is as follows : 80 pixels and maximum size is 6 kb.

6 kp is awfully small. Once a file is in jpeg form there really isnt anything else to pack anymore. Could i suggest that you could please change that? I go to these other forums and it is really irritating cause then i have to choose an avatar from the gallery :/
