Oh right, I see. Well, i don't know much about this things, but the lag that comes when going across pages has gone, so it must have done something.
So, yay! :)

Nothing has actually changed, plus the forum now gives out debug errors 10x times more often.

Edit: fixed mistake, thanks klop.

Okay, i turned off SMTP mail sending. Now it should use php mail instead. Let's see...

Edit: seems like users now cannot confirm registration and get notified of replies >_>

Edit: yay it works. Just takes 6 minutes.

It says it cannot connect to SMTP server :(
I got rid of this error by switching forum to another type of sending e-mails - via php.

Yeah I get them with half the posts I try to make, so I just give up posting :(

Could copy and paste some of those errors so I can investigate this as soon as possible. Thanks.

Edit: This is a known PHPBB bug, this is caused when someone has the "Notify me of a reply to this post" option checked. If you are receiving this error, the webmaster has not properly configured sendmail (php mail) or is still using SMTP.

If you need to correct path to sendmail, please contact me.

Nanyo, could you please find out what's wrong with GD library (PHP) on the new server? Some pictures generated by PHP don't show up at all. I was using advanced visual confirmation mod (it's when you register you have to type numbers from an generated image) on old server and this mod didn't let spam robots register, but now i'm forced to use standard phpBB's built-in very simple visual confirmation and as a result, spambots registering with growing frequency.

Also there was a service on our forum. It's like a chat, but the text is being displayed on images - signatures. Now it doesn't work. See by yourself:

What OS is the server running?

CentOS 4.3, may I ask why you ask?

Because I like to know the OS isn't shit. :)

I was hoping it wasn't Fedora as a lot of places are going. Fedora isn't shit, but it's not exactly the best Linux for hosting, and I was really hoping it wasn't doze. Debian is my fav, just for ease of updating, but I've heard CentOS is better for bigger hosting. :-k
(I'd try it, but I need a spare box. :( )

I'm just your local nosey programming student.

I took programming at school, but they can only teach Delphi, as that's all they have resource wise. Delphi==Poop. So I quit. Anyone know any sites where I can learn about C coding?

OnTopic: As long as the server goes fast, and admins can use it, it seems to not matter to most what OS the server uses =P

Yeah, we had Fedora on some of our pass boxes, it was stable just it lacked security and performance features that CentOS has. I like Debian also. I have just gotten a new box in Germany with Debian Woody 3.0 With Confixx. So I'm going to be enjoying that.
