Some people set the forum to e-mail them when a reply comes through to a message they posted. It's the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option.

Just to let you Know:

When you get that message, it doesn't neccarily mean your messgae hasn't been posted
I got that error messgae when there was something wrong with www.dxcouncil.desuexnetwork.com/forum pm system, and ended sending around 20 pms to someone all the same, because I thought it wasn't sending

During our debate with tech support when I was trying to prove that it wasn't a glitch of phpBB, the problem disappeared by itself.
