Max Payne Movie

Postby Psykorgasm » Sat Nov 10, 07 12:46 am

Mark Wahlberg is in final negotiations to play the lead role in Twentieth Century Fox's Max Payne live action movie. Payne is a DEA operative deep undercover, snared between avenging the mafia murders of his wife and child and being framed for the murder of a fellow agent. It's a dark and seedy tale of corruption and murder, blending the most popular elements from today's biggest box office thrillers with the latest in video game technology.

LOL! First of all, it's a shame they couldn't have got the original guy (the guy who wrote Max Payne) and tell him to do all those dodgy faces he does in the game.

Max Payne would then have a Finnish accent, unless they dubbed it. LOL

We can just get 14yr old James to play as him.

Off topic. He's the guy who's making Alan Wake. Shit. Yes. Brilliant story imminent.

Hitman - Film being made on game?

Max Payne - Film being made on game?

At similar times?

Correct me if I'm wrong though, might be based on book or w/e.

Could be fun, dunno. Not really into movies anyways unless it's comedy, and I assume this isn't a comedy

The TV programs are ultimate comedy. If following a never ending trail of blood to your dead baby is your thing, then yes it's a real knee slapper.

Clive Owen would've been good for the part I think.

I sort of agree, only he's already in a big noir role.

ACTUALLY, I beg to differ, it did it just didn't remain true to the characters, except I liked the way they managed their new roles.

Yes, it does come out next year, it's in production now, confirmed.

Actually, it didn't remain true, the underground mine fires (Based on Centralia)... They were non-existant in the game, the fog was caused by a drug known as White Claudia.

Alessa was actually locked in the house, and burned alive.... Not taken and burned...

The incident that caused Silent Hills downfull in the film was in 1977. In the game it was, 1985.

They are just some of the things i can remember off the top of my head.

White Claudia started the fog? WHAT?, I thought there isn't really any reason for the fog except the feeling of isolation.

In the Police Station, in the office area, there is a Black Board, it tells you that a Haze has decended on the Town, belived to be caused by the fields of White Claudia to the North, and then it goes on about this Drug can cause Nausia, and Halusination. It also is something that Team Silent could fall back on about the short Draw Distance.

LOL yes it was about draw distance in production reality, but everyone found it cool and it makes it look better so thats why it stays.

Oh yes I remember now, you're correct because this is one of the first things that hints that your character and everyone around him are high.
Really, do you think those things are monsters.
