UK Government cracking down on illegal music downloads!

It's official, by April the UK's cache will be scanned for traces of download activity. Fair thee well eSnips!

Essentially the ISP's are under HUGE amounts of pressure by the music industry to snoop out d/lers and threaten them with a warning, then a suspension and finally a BAN from the internet (a literal contract-burner)

So are we at the mercy of iTunes and their pathetic AAC format?
Will Napster fill the void?
Why go for Rhapsody?
Luckily play.com have established a music store themselves in MP3 format for a cheaper price than iTunes (0.70 a track).

Will this warning of impending doom stop you from P2Ping? The ISP's are admitting they can't scan everyone's cache-but they're going to try! Perhaps by distributing tracking cookies.

Wow, Ireland becomes more appealing every day. You pose an independence that can only be found elsewhere in Monte Carlo.
