Worst part about it is, they're all over the fucking place in Japan.

Not just the countryside, but urban areas like Tokyo.

Hornets are amazing. As a kid I used to touch them on the back when they were flying against the windows lol. Once in dark one of them stung me in the neck and it swell like a fuckin balloon. Our hornets are bit fatter than these Japanese ones, but I dont know if they are also larger. Good 3-4 CM anyway.

I didnt know it back then, I was like 10 or something lol. I just worried like hell about my neck but as if we had anyone thinking about medical attention in that countryside.

I still kept messing with the fuckers after that sting though. You gotta love sitting in some small room doing something and one of those would just slowly buzz in and do circles around your head

Actually, I just remembered.. we had hornet nest above our front door for months.. I dont know if someone smashed it purpously or how they did it, or if it was just some birds after some food. Anyway their castle got totally fucked up. Reason why I got stung, it was so dark that the hornet couldnt see me and I couldnt see the hornet, and our trajectories collided. The house they build is as awesome as they are tbh.
