That's when you know you're playing a really fucking creepy game.

I have the original disc
I had Thief2 demo on the same disc as Deus Ex demo. Never played more than 3 missions on Thief2.

I completed it.

But honestly, the eeriness of that Trail of Blood mission....

And the part where the fucking trees start running and attacking you by surprise at the later end of the level.

It's one of the levels I admit I am afraid to play in the dark home-alone.

Oh my god, those eye plant things are fucking weird. And those Apemen were too, lol.

What the hell was the storyline for Thief anyway? The whole monsters seem rather fucked for an average fantasy game where you're a Thief...

Those eye plants were genuinely terrifying and look ahead of their time for the system.

Who says visuals make a more terrifying game?

The most scary part for me was the trees too... that's when I stopped running and drinking. If you know what I mean.

As for those trees I freaked out a few times when they chased me
as all I heard was the scream and then THUD THUD THUD as they
ran toward me.
I was like WTF!! was that.

Yeah, they killed me just now

I am angry and thus retrying the mission, collecting the fire arrows though

I love Thief 2. I got the demo in a magazines years ago and bought it straight afterwards.

So much work went into that game and then Looking Glass went bust.
