Posted: Tue Sep 02, 08 12:59 pmYeah, that album was awesome. But I don't think they "died", they just changed. Especially when they released St. Anger, the style is so fucking different in that, and while I like some of the songs on it, I just don't think it stood up compared to the others.
But, as far as I'm concerned, Metallica still own and I still love their music. I couldn't give a fuck what other people think and I doubt they do either. Because, when it all comes down to it, if a band wants to change their style of music then they've got every right to do so.
If older fans get fucked off, so fucking what, they can stick to the old albums and new fans will ALWAYS be there to cheer their favourite bands on. This is the exact reason I hate bands being called sellouts.
