I love this show. Loved it as a teenager, still love it now. The show is a kid's show but totally not meant for kids, some episodes like the Zombie Filmers and the Harvest Moon were totally not for kids.

The music of the show is perhaps the best I've seen in a cartoon, from songs like Dr. Zalost's theme to Katz's theme and even the creepy little tingle with the zombie filmers, the soundtrack was very diverse and amazing.

Not to mention the humor is fucking hilarious (the Monks episode where Courage buys everyone new coats) and such.

Great show, man. Great show.

Memories come rushing back

Me sitting alone in a small, poorly lit room watching the TV at 9:30, no one in the house. Courage opening pops up after a few commercials, then I see the Zombie Filmer episode name, with the creepy tingle, and I switch to the next channel.

I get shivers whenever I watch that episode, or if I hear that creepy tingle...

And oh god please don't tell me about the McPherson phantom.
Every night since I watched that vid I would ALWAYS look around before going to sleep.... till around age 17.

Just remembering the villains makes me cringe. That staring contest between courage and some....dried-up mattress guy was hilarious. BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK.

This is that very rare occassion where kid humour infuses itself with almost psychotic themes.
